Safety Precautions;• Never use the soil extraction method unless you have verifi ed

that the textile fl oor covering and the fl oor itself will suffer no damage.

• Special care is required with:• Floors which can be damaged by water (e.g. wood

fl oors and fl oors of similar material).• Carpeting secured with adhesive which is not water

resistant.

• Carpeting which is only partially glued down.

• Carpets having a backing fabric sensitive to water (e.g. jute or jute blends).

How to Operate

• Before using spray extractor, vacuum carpet thoroughly.

• Only use the machine if the voltage stated on the type plate (num-ber of volts) is identical with the available supply and the connector socket is grounded.

• Check that the fi lter is present in the fresh water tank.

• Mix the cleaning agent in a bucket with cold or hot water (max. 122°F). Measurement: Direct extraction 1% - 3%, pre-spraying 3% - 10%.

• Connect the pressure hose to the machine at the quick-relase cou-pling. Insert the suction hose in the machine. Assemble suction hose and pressure hose to suction / spray pipe.

• Check that all switches are off.

• Plug in the main supply cable.

• Switch on the pressure pump. To avoid damage to pump, be sure the fresh water tank is full. Pump is not designed for dry running.

• Switch on the suction motor.

• Pull nozzle slowly backwards (approx. 5 sec./3ft) with slight pressure on the handpipe. Continue to use spray/extraction method in this manner, i.e. spray and pick up immediately.

• Shortly before completing each pass, shut off the water supply to pick up the water last sprayed on.

• The next working length should overlap the previous one by .5 in.-1 in.

• Carry out spray/extraction a second time, in a crosswise direction if area permits. This second cleaning phase is only to be carried out on a totally dry carpet. Note the safety precautions detailed on page 2.

• Using suction / spray pipe:Pass nozzle fairly quickly over the carpet (approx. 3 sec./3ft) with the valve open and suction motors switched off.

• Using spray lance:Connect spray lance to socket for pressure hose. ( Max. pressure 72.5 psi ).

• Using an external spray device:Spray the entire carpet surface, wetting badly soiled areas more thoroughly. Allow the cleaning solution time to act, but never allow it to dry out.

• Then spray/extract with clean water as described in previous section

• Shampoo extremely heavily soiled carpets using a single brush ma-chine.

• When using the spray extraction machine, excess foam may occur in the recovery tank, especially if the carpet has previously been cleaned using a high foam shampoo. If this occurs add defoamer as required to the recovery tank.

• Areas of carpeting which are inaccessible to the spray extraction nozzle, e.g. corners, recesses, edges, under radiators or on stairs, can be cleaned easily using the manual extraction nozzle.

Maintenance and Servicing

• Drain the fresh water tank. Fill with approx. 1.5 Gal of fresh water. Hold the nozzle over a drain and fl ush the pressure pump, hose and spray nozzles thoroughly.

• Clean fl oat and fresh water fi lter (on tank base). Drain fresh water tank completely.

• Drain waste water tank completely and thoroughly wash out with clean water.

• Wipe machine dry inside and out.

• The motors and pressure pump are maintenance-free.

• Service and repairs, should only be performed by an authorized ser-vice center.

• Protect machine and accessories from frost.

• Possible causes of insuffi cient spraying capacity:• Spray nozzles blocked

• Fresh water fi lter dirty

• Fresh water tank empty

• Pressure pump not switched on

• Possible causes of low suction capacity:• Transparent dome not correctly mounted to waste water tank

(air entering)

• Suction slot on nozzle blocked

• Suction hose not correctly connected to handpipe

• Waste water tank full (fl oat at top is interrupting suction)

• Riser tube mesh blocked

• The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not throw the packaging material into household waste; please recycle

• Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be recycled; these should be sent for recycling. Batteries, oil, and similar substances must not enter the environ-ment. Please dispose of your old appliances properly.
