The BR40LUG is to be used in conjunction with the BR40NEU neutral bar kit. The neutral bar kit can accommodate up to six 4/0 neutral cables, although the Eaton 125 A meter stack only has free space for four 4/0 circuits.

Installation instructions— 4/0 lug adapter kit (BR40LUG)

1. Ensure the circuit breaker and meter enclosure are disconnected from the line voltage.

2. Install BR40NEU and 1MMGBK in meter enclosure. Terminate all ground and neutral connections.

3. Install circuit breaker in meter enclosure.

4. See Figure 1.

a. Insert BR40LUG terminals into breaker lugs. Hold BR40LUG tightly against the breaker while tightening the breaker lug screws.

b. Tighten the breaker lug screws to 80 in-lb.

5. See Figure 2.

a. Plug the breaker onto the stabs in the meter enclosure before connecting the cables. Do not use the breaker/ BR40LUG assembly to assist in forming the cables.

b. Remove BR40LUG cover screw. Rotate cover to provide access to the lug screws of the BR40LUG.

c. Strip cable insulation back ¾-inch from end of 3/0 or 4/0 cable. Form cables and fit them into the lugs of BR40LUG.

d. Tighten the lug screws of the BR40LUG to 120 in-lb with a 1/4-inch hex bit.

6. See Figure 3.

a. Rotate the cover of the BR40LUG back over the lug kit housing and re-apply the thread-cutting cover screw. Tighten the cover screw such that the cover and housing are firmly mated.

El BR40LUG debe usarse junto con el kit de barra neutral BR40NEU. El kit de barra neutral puede adaptarse a hasta seis cables neutros de 4/0, a pesar de que el módulo de medidores Eaton de 125 A solamente tiene espacio libre para cuatro circuitos 4/0.

d. Ajuste los tornillos de la zapata del BR40LUG a 120 pulgadas-libras con una punta hexagonal de 1/4 pulgadas.

6. Consulte la Figura 3.

a. Rote la tapa del BR40LUG sobre la carcasa del kit de zapata y vuelva a colocar el tornillo roscador de la tapa. Ajuste el tornillo de la tapa de tal manera que la tapa y la carcasa queden firmemente acopladas.
