Centered End Suction and Centerline Discharge for easier piping design and installation consistent with either ANSI or ISO standards. Standard flange connections are raised face or available in a variety of options to meet user piping standards.
Non-contacting double orifice permits minimum leakage and improves volumetric efficiency. Enclosed impeller with optimized face gap tolerance keeps hydraulic losses to a minimum for increased hydraulic efficiency. Size and number of balance holes set balance pressure for fixed axial operating position.

Historic Innovation in Emission Free, Low-probability Pump Design
TEIKOKU’s revolutionary ALP pump sets a new industry standard for operating efficiency and safety in ammonia transfer systems. Utilizing a smaller and more powerful motor (see pg. 8) than those typically coupled to fixed speed pumps, ALP pumps rotate faster in a more compact package with enhanced rotor-dynamic effects. This increases reliability with the same secondary containment features synonymous with all Teikoku pump solutions. Driven by any commercially available variable frequency drive (VFD), ALP
pumps feature advanced hydraulics for low flow, high head, low NPSHR performance that can be tuned to variable process requirements.
Both traditional reverse circulation, Plan 13-SE, and advanced pressurized circulation, Plan 1-SD, versions are available. Plan 1-SD pumps are especially suitable for replacing existing sealed or troublesome Mag Drive pumps for easy, low probability upgrades. With speed ranges from 3000 to 7200 RPM, one ALP pump can meet any and all changing ammonia transfer requirements in a single, smaller pump/motor package.
And of course, with TEIKOKU’s seal-less, leak-proof designs, environmental risk is eliminated and safety is maximized because ALP pumps cannot leak. Teikoku leads the market in providing double containment, low-probability pumps. TEIKOKU’s new CDR pump series covers all Liquid Carbon Dioxide refrigerant market needs. Innovations in sealless motor technology and liquid containment have been combined to produce TWO speed-controlled compact pumps that cover a range of capabilities that formerly required FIVE fixed speed models. System designers and packagers can now expect reduced variation, inventory, and operating cost while providing users with enhanced process control and more efficient operation. CDR pumps are stocked as standard in a 600 psi design to cover the widest range of LCO2 operating temperatures and corresponding vapor pressures in the industry. For maximum operating effectiveness, CDR pumps require a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), which can be supplied by Teikoku or per user preference.
CDR pumps include all the features that make TEIKOKU the world leader in leakproof pump design and fluid containment. Each pump is equipped with TEIKOKU’s proven bearing wear monitor, Teikoku Rotary Guardian (TRGTM), for managing predictable and easy maintenance schedules while providing positive secondary containment that ensures plant safety, maximum user risk mitigation and zero environmental im-pact—the ultimate in a total Low Probability* pump solution. Both CDR218 and CDR417 pumps, as well as TEIKOKU Speed Guardian (TSGTM), and VFD speed controllers are available for quick shipment.

Upgrading to TEIKOKU’s leakproof retrofit options adds secondary containment, and eliminates seal maintenance costs and downtime.
The leakproof design prevents ammonia from escaping into the environment. TEIKOKU also offers corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel and ANSI 150# flanges.
Monitor your bearing wear in real time with the TRGTM diagnostic system and, with the back pullout design, easily replace shaft sleeves, thrust washers, and bearings.

TEIKOKU ROTARY GUARDIAN
Monitor Running Clearances and Bearing Conditions
A standard feature supplied on all TEIKOKU pumps is Teikoku USA’s patented bearing wear monitor, the Teikoku Rotary Guardian or “TRGTM”. The TRGTM takes the mystery out of pump reliability by continuously monitoring the critical running clearances between the pump’s rotating and stationary components.
The bearing wear monitor is mounted on the electrical junction box as standard. Output options for remote monitoring and control are also available. This information allows the user to perform planned maintenance and replacement of simple wear parts long before costly failure occurs.
