SafeSet Application: Hydrocone Crusher

A jammed crusher can cost a fortune in both time and money. Torque limiting couplings from Voith control the torque and increase productivity. SafeSet is installed on all direct driven CH880/895 Cone Crus-hers manufactured by the global company Sandvik. They found it to be the most reliable torque limiter on the market.

Sandvik wanted to prevent possible driveline damage, caused by uncrushable objects becoming stuck in the crushing chamber.

Extremely high torque peaks can also arise, due to the dyna-mic behaviour of the crusher’s transmission. SafeSet torque limiting coup lings from Voith prevent this risk.
