12 Noon Mass 1:15 Prayer Service

4:00pm Prayer Service 7:30pm Mass

PLEASE NOTE:

ASH WEDNESDAY—Feb., 14th— For the first time since 1945, the observance of Ash Wednesday falls on Feb., 14th. Some have inquired about the possibility of receiving a dispensation from the laws of fasting and abstinence. Our observances of these spiritual practices unite us with Catholics throughout the world as we commence a time of prayer and penance in preparation for Easter. For this reason, no dispensation will be granted from these universal norms. Catholics who desire to celebrate Valentine’s Day should consider doing so on Tuesday, Feb., 13th, a day traditionally associated with festive celebrations.

CALLED BY NAME Bishop DiMarzio has designated this year - the Year of Vocations. In an effort to encourage the young to consider a vocation as a priest or Religious Sister or Brother, the bishop asks us to participate in the Called by Name Program. If you know a boy or girl, young man or woman, who you think would make a good priest or Religious, the bishop asks you to submit their name so they might be personally invited to consider a church vocation. Just fill out a Called by Name Card – available at the doors of the church - and drop it off at the rectory. Names will be submitted to the diocesan Vocation Directors and the individual will be contacted by them.
