Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 13th is a celebration for all mothers. Roses will be available Saturday May 12th after the evening Masses and after the Mother’s Day morning Masses on May 13th. Your donation will go to support Obria (Birth Choice Health Clinics) which are licensed community care clinics offering medical consultations, ultrasounds, pregnancy tests , and STD testing. They are also available to help women with whatever else is needed during this time of their lives. We are Amy Jane Frater and Lillian Piper, your parish representatives for Orange County Cursillo at Mission Basilica SJC.
Cursillo is a “short course” on how to live the Catholic faith. It’s a transforming experience that deepens our relationship with Christ. It helps people discover and fulfill their vocation and promotes the creation of core groups of Christians who leaven their environments with the Gospel. Cursillo starts on Thursday evening and ends on Sunday evening. The talks include topics about the Christian ideal, the Catholic Faith, and the Christian approach to the world. After the weekend experience of Cursillo, you are encouraged to continue meeting with those who have completed Cursillo, through small group gatherings where you will together live out your Christian identity. Over four hundred Mission Basilica men and women are using their Cursillo experience to answer God’s call to prayer, study, and service in our parish.
As your parish representatives, our first goal is to create an email distribution list for Cursillo news and invitations to events. If you have a group that would be interested in having a tour of the inside of
the Basilica, Hospitality Minister, Larry Larson can take your group on a 30-40 minute walk around the inside of the
Church and provide information on the history of the Basilica. To set up a tour, or
to get more information, contact Aralu Moreno in the Pastoral Center at 949-234-1360 ext. 360. The Basilica Tour is free of
charge, but a donation to the Mission Basilica School is encouraged.
Become a Wedding Volunteer
This would require a 2 to 3 hour commitment one to two times a month on a Friday afternoon or on Saturday, assisting the Wedding Coordinator on the day of the scheduled wedding. El Consejo de Monseñor Paul Martin, tendrá una noche de información en ingles para cualquier hombre Católico interesado el miércoles 9 de mayo de 6 a 6:45 de la noche en el salón F del Centro Pastoral. ROSAS PARA EL DÍA DE LA MADRES
El dia de las Madres, domingo 13 de mayo, es una celebración para todas las mamás.
Habrá rosas en venta el sábado 12 de mayo después de las Misas vespertinas y después de las Misas matutinas del día de la madres el 13 de mayo. Su donación apoyara a Obria (Clinicas de Salud Elección de Nacimiento) que son clínicas de cuidado comunitario con licencia que ofrecen consultas médicas, ultrasonidos, pruebas de embarazo y pruebas de ETS.
También están disponibles para ayudar a las mujeres con cualquier otra cosa que se necesite durante este tiempo de sus vidas. Su donación proporcionará un apoyo financiero significativo para todas las clínicas de salud de Obria en
nuestra comunidad.
