Wonder WomanThe Shot: Natalie du Toit once again exhibited her special brand of no-holds-barred courage by taking on the six kilometre open-ocean swim from Robberg Point to Plettenberg Bay's Main Beach. Although she did not officially compete this year, she remains one of Sabrina Love’s most respected and valued ambassadors.

But one thing’s for sure, this extraordinary event – presented by Magnetic South and sponsored by Discovery and the Stonehage group – makes for amazing imagery.

The Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge once again rocked Plettenberg Bay's Main Beach and Kurland Polo Estate during the last weekend of 2012, with mountain bikers, trail runners, open-ocean swimming, surfskiing and staged tri events drawing athletes from all over South Africa. Wet startThe Shot: Day two of the Sabrina Love event kicked off with a 900 m lake swim at the breathtakingly beautiful Kurland Polo Estate, with a record field of triathletes and swimmers taking to the water.

dam BustersThe Shot: One of the leading athletes power through the water towards the finish line on day two of the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge. More than R500 000 was raised for children with disabilities during the event, thanks to the generous sponsorship received from Discovery and the Stonehage Group.

deeP Forest crankingThe Shot: A purpose-built mountain biking trail on Kurland Polo Estate made for a stonking ride during the MTB Challenge. I had enough time to set up some off-camera flash with radio triggers, thus creating more dramatic lighting within the emerald gloom.
