Subject: Changes in the Guidelines of the Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes/ Programmes by the concerned Central Ministries/Departments to enable priority to be given to the Gram Panchayats selected under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to state that in terms of the Decision taken by the Cabinet, while approving the SAGY and its Guidelines, on the subject noted above and the resultant inclusion of Sub-clause 4 under the Clause 10 i.e. broad head "Planning" of SAGY Guidelines, the following Ministries/Departments have made amendments in the Guidelines/issued appropriate advisories to the State Governments/UT Administrations:-

Presently, our Ministry is not administrating any Central Sector / Sponsored Scheme I Programme but we do provide Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for home lighting, community street lighting and other Renewable Energy applications through State Nodal Agencies (SNAs). The Village selected under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna is required to be given electricity by Ministry of Power through electrification programme by various agencies.
