After you have watched the powerpoint, can you complete the grid below. Choose your own animal but remember use a selection of mammals and reptiles. I have completed two to help you! We have two new words to learn from the powerpoint. They are mammal and reptile. Do you know what a mammal or a reptile is? These definitions are from https://kids.britannica.com/kids/ You could visit this site to find out lots more about mammals and reptiles.

A mammal is an animal  that breathes air, has a backbone, and grows hair at some point during its life. In addition, all female mammals have

glands that can produce milk. Mammals are among the most intelligent of all living creatures.

Mammals include a wide variety of animals, from cats to humans to whales. There are more than 5,000 species, or kinds, of living mammal.

More than half of all mammals are rodents, a group that includes mice and squirrels.

A reptile  is an air-breathing animal  that has scales instead of hair or feathers. Reptiles have lived on Earth for more than 280 million years.

Scientists consider them to be the ancestors of birds and mammals.

Over the years many kinds of reptiles have become extinct, or died out. The dinosaurs are well-known reptiles that became extinct about 65

million years ago. Today there are about 6,000 species, or types, of living reptile. They include snakes,  lizards,  turtles, alligators,

and crocodiles. Most baby reptiles hatch from an egg.
