NGOC TRAM NYUGEN SCHOLARSHIP DINNER
Ngoc Tram Nguyen Scholarship Dinner The Ngoc Tram Nguyen Scholarship was established in 2011by Professor David Dixon, Dean of UNSW Law School. Tram came to Cabramatta as an infant refugee. Despite limited formal schooling, UNSW's Professor Lisa Maher saw her potential and encouraged her to pursue UNSW’s Preparation Program and to study law. Tram died in a tragic accident before she could fulfil her dream. This scholarship will allow other young people from South West Sydney to achieve their potential at UNSW Law School. To raise money for this great cause, a dinner is being held on Friday 21 September. Student Ambassadors and Volunteers for Organ Donation (SAV'D), is a new national student group promoting organ and tissue donation, particularly among young people. We aim to encourage interested medical and university students from other degrees to become advocates and activists in their local universities and communities, educating others and raising awareness about the issues affecting organ donation, in order to change the status quo and increase the rates of organ donation and transplantation in Australia.
We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and interested students to take leadership positions within SAV’D to help run advocacy and awareness events, develop policy and become leaders in changing Australia’s shameful status as having one of the lowest organ donation rates in the developed world.

This Moot will take place between the 10th and 12th of October, at the Victoria Law School and other designated venues which may include court rooms. The Hon. Michael Kirby will act as Chair Arbitrator presiding in the final round. The moot is intended to simulate an arbitration for parties in a contractual law dispute and each team comprises of four students.
