Starting a fashion label offers ultimate creative freedom.
This is true not just for the liberty to take fashion to the
extreme, but perhaps in our case more so for the freedom to
reinterpret or transform conventional garments. Creating
SVEK’s first collection, we have fully taken advantage
of and cherished this freedom, creating unique cuts in
lapels or pockets and developed our own interpretation
of a shirt. The approach to create garments with genuine
features embodies the idea of SVEK and we hope that
it will also contribute to its longevity. Being a Swedish
fashion label, we are proud to underline our Swedish roots
and much of the ideas around the label originated from
specific cultural l ifestyles emerging in Sweden in the past
decade. Swedish design is arguably at its most influential
point yet thanks to the great work of our peers. However,
being internationally involved in the fashion industry has
led us to have a somewhat different take on Swedish
design, and this we hope to bring to the industry. “SVEK
is dedicated to creative expressions and focused on realising
artistic visions, whilst playful with contemporary currents at
the frontier of international fashion. Characterised by cool
