Greene County Schools Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) Greene County Schools is offering several blended learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) courses. The mission of the Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics program is to assist students realize their potential for success in S.T.E.M. careers by supporting their exploration of S.T.E.M. related fields, develop multi-cultural relationships within teams to collaboratively solve problems by encouraging the development of 21st-Century skills, provide a curriculum with valuable life lessons, and by supporting their post-secondary education to solve tomorrow's global issues. Admission Criteria The criteria in the second bullet point will be used for admission to STEM for the 2016/2017 school year. Each category has a point value assigned. STEM Boosters• STEM would like your assistance with various events throughout

the year at Greene County Middle and Greene Central High School. Please volunteer to assist with Grand Challenges, STEM Expo, Student Academic Recognition, Learning Experiences, and many more events. We need more Boosters!

STEM Scholar GraduateTo support and recognize the hard work of all STEM students upon graduating. Seniors are able to graduate as a S.T.E.M. Scholar if the following criteria is met.• Demonstrate Community Outreach (10 or more events).• Maintain a grade above 80 in all S.T.E.M. courses.• Preserve an excellent record of behavior in and out of school.• Participate in leadership roles in school and/or community events.• Complete at least 16 S.T.E.M. courses for all graduating classes after

2017.Class of 2016 = 10 or moreClass of 2017= 14 or more
