K/1st Directions: Choose two mini lessons (blue) OR complete the EDP challenge (green) for the week. You can work at your
own pace. Start by choosing one activity. If you have time, continue exploring! Remember blue words have links, just tap

Reflect on your learning experiences.
Why is Handwashing Important?
Create a video-skit or a
poster on the
importance of
handwashing and how
to do it properly.
What makes our heart beat increase?
Conduct an investigation to see what
makes your heart beat increase.
Directions:
● Fill out the “I am thankful for STEM
sheet”
● Either use paper and pencil to record
your answers, print this page, or
download on the ipad and edit.
Directions:
● Write or Draw why it is important to
wash your hands using a poster/paper
or on your iPad.
OR
● Take a video showing how to properly
wash your hands.
Directions:
Investigate: Measure your heart beat for
10 seconds. Run around and then
measure it again.
Observe: How many more beats did you
count in 10 seconds after running?

Game Time
Use any kind of board game, card
game, or family game (examples:
Monopoly, Risk, Connect Four, a
matching game,
War, Crazy 8’s,
Battleship) that uses
math/critical
thinking skills.
Tech Time
Get creative with coding in
Scratch JR.
Educational Reading / Educational Video
Explore more about a STEM subject of YOUR OWN
CHOICE! Watch a video / read to learn!
Directions:
● Play a family game together that
uses math and critical thinking.
Directions:
● Create a new scratch Jr. Project.
Add a character and program the
character to do something. For an
extra challenge add a background
to your scene.
Directions:
● Watch an episode of a science show (Bill Nye,
Magic School Bus, Sid the Science Kid, Wild
Kratts, etc.).
● Draw a picture or write about what science
happened in the episode you watched.
Reminders: STEM work is optional however, I highly suggest using these as your breaks from classroom learning. These are meant to be fun and interactive for everyone.
When you are ready to turn in your work there are a few ways. 1) Use the google form that is on my website and click on your grade level. 2) Kindergarten through 2nd grade can use seesaw to submit assignments. 3) Parents or guardians can use my google number to text me pictures and videos of assignments 262-885-1529 4) E-mail [email protected]
