Kolkata - 700 071, West Bengal Khaitan (India) was incorporated in 1936. Khaitan Agro Complex merged with the firm
from January, 1994. It belongs to the Khaitan house. The company grows sugarcane and
manufactures crystal sugar. It markets its products under the Khaitan brand name. The
sugar mill has been overhauled and it expects to double the crushed quantity and improve
sugar recovery.

Revenue and Profit Performance
The revenue of the Company decreased from ₹ 1.09 crores to
₹ 0.28 crores from quarter ending Sep’15 to quarter ending
Sep’16. The Company made a loss of ₹ 0.37 crores in quarter

a. Attention is provided to Note no. 14 regarding deferred tax asset which have not been written off amounting to ₹ 3.26
Cr. being recognized in the Balance Sheet. If the Deferred tax asset had been written off during the year, there would be
a loss of ₹ 10.82 Cr. as against the loss of ₹ 7.55 Cr. shown in these financial statements. Deferred tax asset balance in
the Balance sheet would amount to ‘NIL’ as against ₹ 3.26 Cr. as disclosed in these financial statements.
b. Closing balances of Debtors, Creditors, loans, deposits, advances, old liabilities relating to gratuity, land rent &
panchayat tax and some bank balances are unconfirmed and fixed deposit receipts and National Saving certificates are
not available with the company, in respect of which we are unable to express our opinion.
