WHY SOLAR AIR CONDITIONERS Solar Energy Scenario in India
India is a tropical nation with clear sunshine available for 250 to 300 days per year in most parts of the country, which is equivalent to 5000 trillion KWH of energy. This has a potential to generate 1900 billion KWH (1900 Billion units) of solar power annually. The total electricity generation target of government of India for the year 2015 – 16 is fixed at 1137.5 billion units (BU). Today, less than 2% of total electricity is generated by solar energy.
