Generation 1• 800-ish slides to 55; don’t expect it

to be good…

Once upon a time there was a new university student called Birch Ryman*. He had more than a bit of a thing about grilled cheese that made it difficult for him to fit in with the other, more usual university students. But he was sweet and lovely to go with his social goofiness so we love him.

*He was originally called Birch Smith, but we changed that because somebody else has a Smith legacy. If you’re British you should understand why he became Ryman, if you still don’t you should be ashamed! :p

He quickly met Carla Lewis who was also living in his dorm and they hit it off quite well, despite Carla’s constant attractiveness to like every other man ever.

Foremost of these men was Simon Rossi, who wanted to be a lot more than best friends with Carla and had a bit of a rivalry with Birch for a little while…

But the couple easily got past him, dropped out of university and got married on their own little patch of land.

They quickly started on their family, despite practically only living in a shack – they possibly should have thought about money before dropping out of uni…

Birch had got a job in Culinary in the hopes of, you know, getting wallpaper and windows and stuff, with both of them painting pictures on the side to earn more cash.

And soon they had a little girl called Marina.

And she was swiftly followed by natural (and therefore entirely unexpected) twins Sean (right) and Kimmy (left).

All this sudden hassle in the household left Marina feeling a bit neglected for a while…

Sean and Kimmy quickly became toddlers and hugged. They would NEVER hug again. It was established that Kimmy… was a little bit mean.

Meanwhile, despite a deficit of parental attention, Marina soon thrived at school by starting a tradition of bringing home a child every single day.

One of the first of whom was Nery Jayapalan and he and Marina soon became good friends…

Sean and Kimmy followed Marina into childhood, but Sean was unhappy with how poor they were and hatched a (dubious but well-meaning) plan to get them rich through selling lemonade. Marina humoured him, while Kimmy ridiculed them both, which made it even worse when Sean finally admitted defeat.

Meanwhile Birch and Carla had another baby – a girl called Nicola.

Kimmy was unnecessarily mean.

Nicola turned out cute and very similar looking to all her siblings (who all at least have Birch’s nose if not his mouth too). As a toddler she was an angel, much in contrast to Kimmy.

Marina became a family-orientated teenager along with her old friend Nery and they then became more than just friends.

Finally Carla had another (and last) child – a little boy called Terry.

It was about time they stopped having kids; 7 sims + one bathroom = difficulties.

With Marina a teen, she started bringing home random teens instead of kids, one being a slightly eccentric girl from Three Lakes – Opal Raymond. She met and puzzled Sean quite a bit.

Nicola went from being an adorable, angelic toddler to being an adorable, angelic child.

Marina indulged her premature maternal side quite a bit and could barely wait to start her family with Nery, bonding with her little siblings, except Kimmy who was- well, you’ll see.

Terry grew into an adorable, even more angelic toddler than even Nicola had been, though he was a little messy.

And Kimmy was unnecessarily (and autonomously) mean.*

*You may begin to notice a pattern with this, but I leave out so many mean Kimmy pictures after she turns teenager and discovers noogies…

Sean became a teen and found a real way to make money, even if teen jobs don’t pay all that well.

Kimmy became a teen and discovered her love for grilled cheese.

Meanwhile Birch really did still exist, and topped the Culinary career, finally giving the family a bit of spare cash.

Kimmy decided to try and find a guy she liked like nearly everyone else in the house, but seemed to find anyone (who wasn’t her) stupid. She did meet an interesting vampire, Count Christian Mamuyac, however…

Meanwhile Sean tried to get his first kiss from Opal Raymond. And failed. And, naturally, Kimmy would never let him forget it (she continues to gossip about it to this day).

Terry became a still messy and adorable child.

With Birch’s extra cash and all the children now old enough, the family went on a cheap camping holiday in Three Lakes.

Birch and Carla realised that they had never had a honeymoon and sought out some alone time by getting Marina to willingly babysit her siblings elsewhere…

Sean ran into Opal Raymond (naturally, since she’s from Three Lakes in the first place) and they got into a big argument.

Sean consequently got rather depressed.

Wanting some time to cheer Sean up, Marina asked Kimmy to look after Nicola and Terry for a little while. Kimmy reluctantly agreed and Terry wanted to go look for Bigfoot.

Marina and Sean had a good long talk in the park for a few hours, making Sean feel better…

But when they returned to Kimmy, they found that she’d left Terry out in the forest after they started looking for bigfoot, lost in the dark and the cold, where he was absolutely terrified (you know, being about 5 years old and all…).

After discovering this Marina, Sean and Nicola eventually found him and brought him back, though he was still deeply affected by it all.

Marina and Kimmy had a big argument about how Kimmy could have done that to Terry, while Kimmy felt no guilt and blamed Marina for leaving the kids with her in the first place. Marina told Kimmy that nobody would ever love her and she would die alone. Much sibling hate.

And, naturally, the vacation ended there.

The family came back home to discover that they actually had what could realistically be called a house. Huzzah.

Nicola became a gorgeous and angelic teenager who, like Marina, wanted a big family.

Kimmy was unnecessarily mean (x100,000).

Sean got tired of his twin’s bullying…

And headed off to uni.

When Terry went out to absent-mindedly jump in puddles in the night he had bad flashbacks to the vacation and being lost in the forest, having fears of the dark and being alone.

Terry became a cute and sweet teenager.

Nicola tried to follow Marina in finding the love of her life, but her $5000 date from the gypsy matchmaker turned out to be gay*, which was slightly off-putting.

* I use ACR and therefore this genuinely happened. How depressing – your perfect match is not, and never will be, attracted to you…

Carla and Birch became elders (and yes, they are still around in the background).

Carla became permaplat soon after when she threw a Golden Wedding Anniversary party. Birch still has yet to eat 200 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and, from the looks of things, never will.

Marina and Nery became adults and got married with Marina taking Nery’s name.

Meanwhile, at university Sean and Opal met up again and bonded over their mutual desires to make money through criminal activities.

Kimmy finally became an adult and moved out, making everybody else a lot happier.

And hooked up with that vampire she met when she was a teenager*, who also made her a vampire in the process.

* Unexpected two bolts FTW!

Nicola continued to go out man-hunting and came across sweet, slightly geeky, Alvin Futa, who was naturally awe-struck by a pretty girl in a swimming costume talking to him.

Sean, having graduated from uni with a Summa Cum Laude degree in Literature, married Opal Raymond and they swiftly got her pregnant (with the hope for red and/or blonde haired babies – we were disappointed…)

Kimmy, annoyed at her brother’s interesting life, moaned to Christian, who proceeded to get her pregnant and marry her, not entirely with her permission.

Nicola cemented her relationship with Alvin, bonding over their mutual love of red.

Kimmy went to Marina’s house to show off that Marina was wrong about nobody ever loving her and her dying alone, since she was loved, was having a family and would never die anyway.

Marina wasn’t so much bothered by that as the idea that Kimmy would ever be raising a baby.

Marina went to the main household and discussed what to do to help Kimmy’s baby – Marina couldn’t go because she had a family of her own to look after and Nicola was about to grow up, marry Alvin and start her family, so it was decided that Terry would go and live with Kimmy and Christian to look after and protect the baby.

Terry agreed due to his nice and chivalrous nature, but was also a little bit terrified.

Elsewhere four members of generation 3 had been born – Sara and Seth were Marina and Nery’s first two children, while natural twins May and Tiana were Sean and Opal’s*.

* Feel the frustration at the lack of recessive genetics!

Terry showed up to Kimmy’s, where it was quickly established that his like was going to be pretty rubbish – sleeping on the sofa, no going to school, and emotional if not physical bullying.

But pretty quickly Kimmy had a little boy called Tom, who was handed over to Terry to look after and pretty quickly became the centre of his family-orientated world.

Finally, back in the main household, Nicola grew up and got engaged to Alvin, ready to start creating generation 3 of the main line.

This was extremely basic and it’s obviously best if you read the real chapters, but an audience is nice, so you are now prepared to jump in at generation 2! Feel free to do so and comment and stuff
