Contaminated air is drawn by the motor/ blower through a washable metalmesh pre-filter which traps large dustparticles. The remaining particles, someas small as 0.01 microns, pass into astrong electrical field (ionizing section)where the particulate receives anelectrical charge. The charged particlesthen pass into a collector plate sectionmade up of a series of equally spacedparallel plates. Each alternate plate ischarged with the same polarity as theparticles, which repel, while theinterleaving plates are grounded, whichattract and collect the contaminants.The contaminants are held in theseplates until they are washed away.RydAiR Electronic Air Cleaners trap bothwet and dry particulates.
