Human Resource Functional ExcellenceThe HR Functional Excellence Certificate program examines the different functional areas that comprise the field of Human Resource Management including talent recruitment and development, effective interviewing, performance management, HR strategy, compensation and benefits, and

HR law. Presented by experts at the forefront of the latest developments in their field, each workshop focuses on the skills necessary to be successful in the HR role and offers practical approaches for applying these skills in real-world situations.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Master’s Certificate: Leadership for the 21st CenturyThe Master’s Certificate: Leadership for the 21st Century is composed of two 3-day programs—Building My Personal Leadership Competencies (3 days) and Building My Functional Competencies to Lead (3 days)—that allow the participant to look at leadership from both a personal as well as an

organizational perspective. Participants will not only gain the competencies necessary to be successful as a leader but also receive practical strategies for applying these skills in the workplace. Both programs must be completed to receive the Master’s Certificate: Leadership for the 21st Century.

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

Essential Management SkillsAs the pivotal connection between organizational leaders and the workforce, managers are uniquely positioned to influence and impact performance provided they have the right skills and knowledge. The Essential Management Skills program provides new managers—and those looking to assume managerial responsibilities—with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver results. Each

session assists with making the realignment in mindset and behavior required to become effective managers. In each training session, participants also are asked to develop an action learning plan for implementation back on the job, as specific concerns and challenges are similarly addressed to ensure success in this initial managerial role.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS

Project Management FundamentalsFrom project initiation, planning and execution to managing, controlling and closing projects, you will leave this 3-day course with a thorough understanding of how to make your projects successful. Instruction will be based upon the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and key portions of Microsoft Project software will be used to demonstrate

activities, duration, task relationships, Gantt Charts, network diagrams and the critical path method. We also offer Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Preparation to prepare you for certification along with a comprehensive understanding of project management concepts, processes, tools, and techniques, including applications.

Project Risk ManagementProject Risk Management is a major contributor to the success or failure of any project, regardless of its size, or association with a particular functional area or type of organization. Every project contains negative risks or positive opportunities, which need to be explored throughout the

entire project lifecycle from project initiation to project closing. Participants in this two-day Project Risk Management course will enhance their knowledge from fundamentals to specialized concepts, as well as processes and tools and techniques related to Project Risk Management.

LABOR MANAGEMENTEPE’s custom programs provides labor and management representatives with critical knowledge and skills to prevent labor disputes, resolve grievances effectively, and engage in productive collective negotiations. A sample

of topics include collective negotiations, interest based bargaining, conflict resolution, grievance handling, discipline and discharge, labor law and employment law.

HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT

Health Care Policy 360The Affordable Care Act, health exchanges, electronic health records, Accountable Care Organizations, Patient-Centered Medical Homes, value-based purchasing… it’s a mind-boggling list that keeps evolving. Health care policy—on both the state and the federal level—is changing so rapidly that it’s leaving scores of overwhelmed executives and their teams in its wake. With so much change, it’s imperative to keep up. You have to know how these policies will affect

the health care marketplace and how to anticipate what’s coming next. Learn the real world, practical intelligence you need to make smart decisions, react to market changes, plan for your organization and develop strategies. This program provides a focused immersion into health care policy with direct access to world-class faculty and industry experts who will bring clarity and context to the influential pressures, current policies and emerging trends in healthcare today.

Master’s Certificate: Senior Care ManagementThe need for senior care services is on the rise in a big way. That’s why today’s senior care leaders need a keen understanding of strategy and finance in addition to keeping current in their knowledge & expertise in senior care services, including post-acute care. The Master’s Certificate: Senior Care Management is designed to address

this need. Participating in this program will give you the strategic and organizational skills you need to navigate today’s rapidly changing senior health care environment as well as increase your understanding of the current and anticipated pressures of senior health care management.

You can choose among our convenient formats, including:

1. One or more select modules
