RUNTIMES’ new look and new colors are part of Beka-Max and Beka-Lube transitioning into our new ownership as part of the BEKA family. After many years of “building the brand” in Canada and the US as Beka-Lube Products Inc. and as Beka-Max of America Inc., we will now share the brand look and image that identifies BEKA around the rest of the world. You will be seeing these changes in all of our printed and digital communications.

Construction fleets throughout Quebec know Eco-Trak Industrie Inc. as an innovator and leader in home-grown technologies for improved productivity. Now, the firm has stepped beyond its proprietary devices for the first time, to become Beka-Lube Product Inc.’s autolube dealer in Quebec.

The owner of Eco-Trak, Clément Gauvin, explains that his goal in representing BEKA products is to add value for his large customer base. “We have been successful with our line of equipment accessories that we engineered here in Quebec and we are calling on construction companies throughout the province,” say Gauvin. “We were looking for additional accessory products that would be valuable to customers when they are purchasing a new piece of equipment. Automatic lubrication fits into those needs and opportunities. The BEKA autolube system is a precision German-made product, so we were confident in the quality.”

Founded in 2008, Gauvin and his team offer three product lines they developed in-house:

• A bucket scale, used to capture load weights on wheel loaders

• A range-limiting device, installed to define danger zones in the work area for a wide range of equipment

• A 2D Digging system, which measures and displays the depth of an excavation in real time

As explained in our recent announcements in the press and online, we will continue to operate as Beka-Lube Products Inc. in Canada, but we are updating our graphic identity to keep the family look with other BEKA operations. Going forward in America, Beka-Max of America Inc. will be known as BEKAWORLD in both name and appearance.

This is an exciting period for us as we continue to grow our presence throughout North America with BEKA. We’re glad to have a fresh look to help us take our message out to new customers and new dealers coast to coast.

Eco-Trak deploys a fleet of service trucks throughout its territory to support fielded equipment. Gauvin’s staff is working closely with Beka-Lube to provide prospective customers with detailed quotes and specifications for new autolube installations before the sale. Eco-Trak engineering is receiving special training from Beka-Lube to review proposed systems in detail once a quote is approved. “We will be checking each configuration onsite to assure the customer, and ourselves, that the machine is well-covered to meet its ongoing lubrication needs.”

Jacquie McDougall, Chief Operating Officer of Beka-Lube Products Inc., was pleased to welcome Eco-Trak as her newest dealer. “Clément has built a company that understands the fast-moving nature of this busy industry. His group is well prepared to carry our message to the right people, and to respond quickly as customers acquire new machines. We’re fortunate to have someone with this level of technical expertise on board to support the BEKA product line.”

New to North America, the GIGA PLUS central lubrication pump is suitable for any type of autolube system: sectional, single line, dual line and progressive systems.

A GIGA PLUS is like having three pumps in one! It has three independent outlets for lubricant supply that are tied together by internal channels within the pump housing. Each channel can be joined to a different section (with its own PE 250 G pump element) and set to a unique cycle. Or they can all be combined to one lubrication circle. The optional GIGAmultitronic control unit can control and monitor up to three modes of lubrication. Normally, you would have to buy one pump per mode, but with the GIGAmultitronic, you just have to program each mode into the single pump.

The GIGAmultitronic control unit is also equipped with an operational database which records

cycle time, lubrication time, operating hours, pump operating time, and much more.

It will even create an event log of the last 100 changes of the settings. It will also shut off the system (and your machine) if it finds a critical error such as low grease levels.

Alternatively, you can order a GIGA PLUS with a GIGAtronic control unit or even without a control unit and use an external programmable logic controller (PLC).

With a maximum 300 bar operating pressure, the electric-drive GIGA PLUS

pump delivers up to 12 cm3 (0.75 cubic inches or 0.40 fluid ounces) of lubricant

per minute. The GIGA PLUS can operate in temperatures from -30°C to 70°C for reliable service year-round, and three sizes of reservoirs are available: 4, 8 and

16 kg (7.7, 17.6 and 35.3 lb).

The GOOD news is: The manufacturer of BEKA autolube products in North America, Baier + Köppel in Germany, has recently purchased the assets and operations of Beka-Max of America Inc. and Beka-Lube Products Inc. in Canada.

The GREAT news is: As a result of this acquisition, we will have direct access to the same resources that made BEKA a world-class brand. We will achieve further growth, and we will also be manufacturing in North America in the future.

Jacquie McDougall will continue to manage our business in Canada and the United States as Chief Operating Officer. “Jacquie has done an outstanding job building the industry’s

best automated lubrication sales, service and support network in the United States and Canada,” says Bernhard Köppel, Executive Managing Director of the BEKA Group and third generation of the company founder.

“For our customers, nothing will change,” says Sven Pitman, President of Beka-Lube Products Inc. and BEKAWORLD LP.

In the United States, this new ownership will mean a change in name only. Beka-Max of America, Inc. will now be known as BEKAWORLD LP, reflecting our position in the global BEKAWORLD sales and service network.
