Due Diligence & Free:

•Review terms of service: what’s the trade-off for “free?”

•Is the service reliable/SSL security?

•Does service meet your practice volume? (some services offer only limited accounts for free)

•Realize, that sometimes, free is off limits:

•No free business cards w/bix card company’s logo on the back•No compromising client confidentiality or other ethics rules for free service. •No websites with site host in name (e.g., www.aol.com/joesmithlawfirm)
