Besides the seas, lakes, straits and rivers that are situated within the land territory of a State, the internal sea waters also include the seas which are surrounded on all the sides by the land territory of that State but which are connected by straits to other seas or ocean, such as the Sea of Azov and the White Sea belonging to the USSR.
