    2. Lift andSecure Rearof Car

    a. Make sure car is ingear and parkingbrake is on.

    b. Lift car fromdesignated rear jackpoints. (Ramps maybe necessary if

    using a floor jack.)c. Secure car with jack

    stands if using afloor jack. (Place

    jack stands towardsthe back of the

    jacking point. It isimportant that theweight of the car is

    not resting on therear suspension.)

    3. Remove RearWheels

    Factory Lug Adapter

    17mm Deep Socket Breaker Bar

    a. Un-bolt wheels andplace in a safe spotout of the way.

    4. Remove RearDiffuser

    8mm Wrench & Socket

    10mm Wrench & Socket

    a. Un-bolt and removerear diffuser andplace in a safe spot.

    5. RemoveFlange Nut

    a. Remove flange nutfrom inner ball jointstud (Elise/Exige) orpivot bolt (Exige withtrack pack).

    b. Repeat step on otherside.

    6. Remove BallJoint Stud /

    Pivot Bolt

    Pry Bar

    Hammer Tapered Punch

    a. On track packequipped cars use

    pry bar to removetrack brace.

    b. On non track packcars use taperedpunch and hammerto tap out ball jointstuds / pivot bolts.(Alternate side toside with light taps.)

    c. Note: Ball joint studs/ pivot bolts mayhave resistance fromlower pivot pushing.

    Adjustable Crescent Wrench

    a. Using the 16mmwrench, hold the toelink & loosen outboard ball joint jamnut. (If 16mm is totight use a crescentwrench)

    b. Unscrew toe linkfrom out board end.

    c. Repeat for otherside.

    d. Note: Inboard endsare left hand threadsand outboard endsare right handthreads.

    e. Save stock Jam nutsas they will bereused

    9. Clean FramePivot Inserts

    Pick

    a. Clean debris fromframe pivot inserts.

    10. Locate FrameAdapters

    Frame Adapter (x2)

    Small File

    a. Test fit frameadapters in frame

    slots.b. If they do not sit

    flush, file down thegalvanized coating inthe corners until theframe adapters sitflush.

    a. Un-bolt the two

    transmission mountbolts nearest therear of the car.

    b. Remove all bolts,nuts, and washers.

    13. Make ToeLink Sub

    Stock Left Hand Threaded

    (LHT) Jam Nut (x2) Left Hand Threaded (LHT)

    Toe Link End (x2)

    a. Thread stock LHTjam nut onto

    supplied LHT toelink.b. Thread LHT toe link,

    with jam nut, intoLHT end of toe linkwhich will beindicated with agroove.

    c. Repeat for other toelink.

    *Note: Toe link is lefthand threaded on oneend and right handthreaded on the other.

    For best results makesure toe link ends arethreaded with an equal

    amount of turns so thatyou do not run out ofthreads.

    For added strength thetoe links and ends weredesigned so that minimal

    threads are exposedwhen installed andaligned. By threadingthe toe link ends all theway in, it will get it closeto where it needs to be.From there simply twistthe toe link itself andboth ends will adjust tothe appropriate settings.

    a. Place pivot bolt thruthe nord-lock, thenthru the cupped endof the Central brace.

    16. Install Centralbrace

    Tapered Punch Torque Wrench

    a. With assistance, lineup lower a-arm pivothole and insert pivotbolt with RTD2braceassembly thru thetoe link end andframe adapter.

    b. Repeat on otherside.c. Once the tips of the

    pivot bolts are in thepivot holes, slowlytap bolts in,alternating side toside.

    d. Make sure frameadapters are alignedwith frame slotsbefore fully tappingin the pivot bolts.

    e. Slide nord-lock overthe threaded end ofthe pivot bolt andthread on nut to37ft./lbs (50 nm)

    f. Check frame

    adapters periodicallyto ensure properalignment.

    17mm Wrench

    a. Place spacers on topof transmissionmount and underRTD2brace centerbracket. (You mayneed to use a prybar to pry the center

    bracket up in orderto fit the spacers intoplace.)

    b. Apply 17mm boltthru washer, thruRTD2brace centerbracket, thrutransmission mountand sub-frame, andapply blue

    serviceable Locktightand 15mm bolt.

    c. Torque to 33ft/lbs(45nm).

    18. Re-installTransmissionMount HeatShield

    8mm Wrench a. Re mount heatshield and bolt downusing factoryhardware.

    19. Remove stockballjoint fromrear uprights.

    19mm wrench

    Ball joint separator

    Loosen M12 nut onball joint 4 completeturns.

    Do NOT remove nut

    Use ball jointseparator to removeball joint fromupright.

    Completely removeM12 nut from ball

    20. Prepare steelpins forinstallation

    (2) 19mm wrenches or(1)19mm wrench and (1) wrench

    Remove jam nutsfrom ball joints

    Remove k-nuts fromsteel pins

    Remove parts frompins

    Install the 2 jam nuts

    from the ball jointsonto the steel pinand tighten themagainst each otheras shown

    21. Install thesteel pin intothe upright.

    (2) 19mm wrenches or(1)19mm wrench and (1) wrench

    14mm socket

    Ratchet

    Install washer and k-nut onto the steelpin.

    Tighten the k-nutwith the 14mmsocket, hold the jamnuts with the 19mmwrench still until thenut is tight to the

    washer.

    22. Screw rodends and jamnuts into toelinks

    23. Reinstall partsand hardware

    in the samesequence asshown.

    Complete for bothsides

    24. Torque the K-nuts to thepins once youhave theminstalled intoboth uprights

    14mm socket deep

    Torque wrench set to 59 ft/lbs

    3/8 drive extension 4 long

    Torque to 59 ft./lbs.

    25. Once theassembly istogether onboth uprightstorque the K-nuts on thepins that holdtheassemblies

    Torque wrench set to 59 ft/lbs

    14mm socket

    Torque to 59 ft/lbs.

    26. Clean Up 16mm Wrench 19mm Wrench

    Blue Serviceable Lock-tight 8mm Socket & Wrench

    10mm Socket & Wrench 13mm Socket 17mm socket

    Torque Wrench

    Lug Bolt Adapter

    Apply a smallamount of blueserviceable lock tightto jam nuts and snugdown.

    Clamp brake linesback onto tie rods.

    Re-install reardiffuser.

    Re-install wheels. Lower car.

    a. Make sure to centerthe range on the rodends. The inboardrod end should bephased 90 degreesto the outboard rod
