The 1970s and 1980s saw the awakening of social awar eness and political activism in Mexican-American communities. In San Diego,a gr oup of Chicana women participated in a political theatr e group whose plays addr essed social, gender , and political issues of the
working class and the Chicano Movement. In this Collective memoir , seventeen women who wer e part of T eatr o de las Chicanas cometogether to shar e how it transformed their lives. T eatr o Chicana tells the story of this tr oupe thr ough chapters featuring the history
and pr esent-day story of each of the main actors and writers, as well as excerpts fr om the gr oup's materials and seven of theiroriginal short scripts.

China Central T elevision; Magician Dong-Jian Zhang who is also known as the "Sichuanese King of Masks;"
Singer and instrumental musician Bang-Chun Sun who blends his mastery of Chineseinstrumental music into his singing;
Chinese martial artist W ei Ding, Chinese National Martial Arts Champion in the category of"Drunken Straight Sword;"
Broadway musician Jimmy Shao; and Ballet dancer Zhong-Qi Shi who starr ed in the famous Chinese ballet film, The White
Hair ed Girl.
