As we prepare to come back into the building for worship on August 23rd, I wanted to remind of the protocols that Church Council has put in place for the safety of everyone involved. I wanted to remind you of those protocols so that you are prepared if you choose to join us in the sanctuary for worship. Please be aware that we will only open if the Dunn County Health Depart-ment guidelines for indoor gatherings reaches 50 people. Please check the Facebook page, website, and your email for updates. If we cannot worship in the sanctuary we will worship in the parking lot.

• Masks are to be worn by all. You will be provided a mask if you do not have one.

• Maintain social distance of six feet at all times.

• Places where you can sit will be clearly marked. People living in the same household may sit together in one pew. Otherwise, two people may sit together on each end of the pew.

• Bulletins will be placed at the places where you can sit and we ask that you take them with you.

• Doors will be propped open (other than the bathroom doors) so that you will not need to touch them.

• Offering plates will be placed by the doors to the sanctuary for you to place your offering.

• There will be no passing of the peace or communal singing. Songs will be led by a song leader.

• Communion will be different or may not occur.

• Doors will open 15 minutes prior to worship.

• There will be no coffee fellowship before or after worship.

• We ask that you exit immediately following the service.

• Capacity is limited but we will do our best to make sure everyone can worship, even if we have to extend social distanced seating into the fel- lowship hall.

• Hand sanitizer will be available and placed in multiple locations for your use.

• All hymnals, pencils, and directories have been removed from the sanc- tuary so that we will not have to sanitize them after worship.

• If you are sick, have a fever, or are high-risk, we ask that you stay home.

• All services will continue to be live streamed on Facebook.

I look forward to being together again, safely, and again ask that the Lord bless us and guide us in these unprecedented times. If you have any ques-tions, please feel free to reach out to me or any Church Council member.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Brad

¼ Cup Vegetable Oil

3 Tbls. Honey

1 tsp. Vanilla

Recipe For: Pecan Coconut Granola

In large bowl stir together: In small bowl blend:

3 ½ Cup Slow Cooking Oatmeal (thick cu)

1/3 Cup Dark Brown Sugar

1 Cup Pecans (You can use walnuts) 3/4 Cup of unsweetened coconut

Pour over first mixture and mix well. Spread out on a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Bake at 325 degrees for ten minutes. Stir well and bake another ten minutes. Cool and gently break into pieces. Store in an air tight container. I hope you like it!

Welcome to the eighth month of the year. Weather lore says: "For every fog in August, there will be a snowfall the falling winter." Let's enjoy this month of great weather now. The average temperature is 81.4 degrees with 3” of rain. That means plenty of sunshine for us to enjoy! It's a great month for sweet corn, tomatoes and cantaloupe. It is the busiest month for tourism. Sadly, that won't be the case this year.

There are plenty of opportunities for being creative and finding new ways to smile. Have you tried a Trinity Parking Lot Worship Service? Now that's worth smiling about! Did you know that when we share PEACE, horns are honked? I thought all horns sounded the same. Wrong! The range of honking tones is like a symphony directed by PB. It feels really great to honk your horn with joy. We found that the speakers in the parking lot have plenty of volume with our windows down and we didn't even need the radio on.

Our Board does not meet in July. I do, however, have one update. At this time, school supply items will need to wait to be delivered at church for our local schools. We are trying to keep the flow in and out of the building at a minimum. Thanks for understanding. You can still make some purchases to donate later and some for yourself. Do you have enough glue sticks or tape on hand? How about a new box or two of colored pencils or crayons...there are some terrific adult coloring books out there! You may ap-preciate them on a rainy or snowy day in the future.

I am sharing my Granola recipe for you to prepare, as promised. We like it on Greek vanilla yogurt with fruit and our grandchildren like it on ice cream. It came from a PBS (TV) cooking show years ago. The ingredients can be found at the Grain Bin, Wheeler, Wisconsin, or any local grocery store.
