U the Cherry Point footballers should win their game with the University of Miami freshmei elevtm tomorrow, at Fort Lander-dale. Fla. . this sheet may encounter trouble i i ^ tO ftnri unmi^h new and worthy adjectives t o de-scribe the brilliant all-round play of the Flyers' outstanding gridmen.

Much has been written about the great gridiron exploits of players who. with their colorful playing, caughr the lancy of fo l lowers of local football.

Hardly a line has been written about the real heart of our team, the undying spirit of it's reserves, the boys who play their hearts out and go unnoticed game after game.

Every player who donned a F lyer uniform deserves a pat on the back for helping put Cherry Point on the service gridiron map of the nation. It would take too much space to mention all of the players who did their bit to help mold the Flyers into truly one of the great-est elevens that ever represented this station. Yet. i few reserves have contributed a great deal to-wards making C. P. one of the na-tion's best, a team the whole Ma-rine Corps can take pride in.

Worthy of more praise than w a s bestowed upon him is the Flyers' brilliant line backer. Bob Erfert. a hugb 21." pound center, the big-gest man on the squad, and con-sidered to be one of the best line-men on the team.

A better than average quarter-back is Frank Michalski. (pro-nounced Mike-Hall-Ski). This boy is not only a clever single caller bu: also a good blocker.

Quarterback Andy Anderson has looked exceptionally good backing up the line. It's "hard to find a player on the Cherry Point team with more fight and spirit.

And there's Shorty Mnsto. per-' haps one of the most aggress ive iguards on the Point eleven. He ; plays well on-both offense and de-j fense. This lad has proven him-j self to be a vicious tackier
