Our company systems are all included within our BSI registration to ISO 9001:2015. The system was first certified to ISO 9001 in 1996. Our planning, design, procurement, manufacture and inspection procedures fully reflect how our company works.

Using Inventor design software, all new designs are checked by the Senior Designer and Machine Shop Manager before equipment goes into production. Using the latest technology and standards, all Red Rooster lifting and load measuring equipment is constantly evolving.We have invested in the latest milling and turning machines to cut production times and give increased control over the tolerance and quality of parts.

The conformance with our procedures is a mandatory requirement for all personnel to ensure the company objectives are met. Throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes check lists are used to confirm quality and test results. Our QHSE department is continually monitoring, auditing and improving our systems.

We are fully registered as a supplier on FPAL the Achilles First Point Assessment Database for suppliers to the Oil & Gas Industry for the provision of products and services as detailed in our membership listed on www.fpal.com Supplier No. 10049921As a lifting equipment manufacturer, supplier and inspector we are audited by LEEA the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association confirming that our procedures, reports and codes of practice all meet the current standards for lifting equipment and certification. As a full member we have access to LEEA for personnel training, guidance and experience. Certificate No. 1068

In March 2020 our Occupational Health & Safety management system was certified to ISO 45001:2018. The extended scope of the system has brought many benefits to the company with the guidance of the BSI auditors. As members of RBS Mentor we also receive specialist health & safety advice on the systems that we have in place.

LOW CARBON STRATEGY

Senior management have made the commitment to record and reduce the direct and indirect carbon emissions produced by Red Rooster Lifting.

Our Low Carbon Policy provides an overview of the company and alignment the overall company strategy with the aim of embedding the Low Carbon Strategy within the company. The company Health & Safety and Environmental policies form the basis of our planning and integration of our Low Carbon Policy.

From the Emissions Carbon Assessment carried out we have confirmed our Carbon footprint from heating, vans, cars, electricity, business flights, waste and employee car travel. The carbon data we have now available gives us a clear starting

point to clear and robust low carbon objectives, which may include carbon offsetting.

Solar panels and LED lighting are already in place, however further plans to reduce our emissions are currently being reviewed for the most suitable alternative to current equipment. The new road map will require investment, use of new technology , in-house innovation and projected business growth needs to be considered to reach long term goals.

By minimising our Carbon footprint we reduce energy cost, increase sales, find new markets, support customers low carbon goals, whilst reducing overheads through energy efficiency savings.

REPAIRS, TESTING, CALIBRATION, SERVICING AND EXAMINATION

Red Rooster are specialists in the repair of powered hoists, winches and load measuring equipment. Our detailed knowledge and experience means we can offer our customers a quality repair and a fast turnaround, from examination to quote and return fully certified after repair.

In stock we have a large amount spare parts to suit all Red Rooster hoists.

TEST EQUIPMENT

Every Red Rooster product is subject to the most rigorous examination and testing prior to release. In our works we can carry out dynamic testing on hoists up to 65 tonne, hoists and trolleys can lift and travel up to 30 tonne on our outside gantry and winches can be tested up to 20 tonne.

Our calibration and test rigs include tensile and compressive calibration machines up to 100 tonne and a 400 tonne tensile test and calibration rig.

RED ROOSTER REPAIR GUARANTEE:

• On receipt, the equipment is booked into the system and the job number attached.

• The equipment is then examined and dismantled for a full report and quotation to be prepared.

• Once authorised, your repair will be dealt with promptly and efficiently.

• We make every effort to make the equipment look like new.

• After repair the equipment will be function and load tested to confirm it operates as per specification.

• Red Rooster warrants the equipment against defect in our work for a period of 6 months. Misuse and lack of maintenance are specifically excluded.

ServicesSite ServicesOur site services can install, commission, test, service and inspect cranes, hoists and winches. They are qualified to test and examine all types of lifting equipment and have the experience to maintain most makes of crane and carry out statutory examinations. During the examination the engineer decides if the equipment is safe to use or if repairs are required, the site report will highlight any faults to the customer before our engineer leaves the site.

We offer a fast response to breakdowns and a maintenance schedule to meet the requirements of your cranes. Keeping overhead cranes well serviced will reduce breakdowns and increase the life of the crane.

Breakdowns can be expensive and lead to loss of production as crane spares are not usually kept in stock.

Most work carried out is part of a maintenance contract so Red Rooster will advise you when the agreed service / inspection falls due, which can vary between different companies based on the conditions and lifting operations.

Our highly trained and experienced team of engineers will get your crane running again quickly at a competitive rates.



Load Measuring Calibration & RepairOur team of load cell technicians have a vast knowledge of manufacturing Red Rooster load cells and shackles along with the repair of our own and other manufacturers load measuring equipment. From standard units to the most complex weighing systems we can test and trace the defective component before repairing and calibrating. Our range of load cells and includes ATEX / IECEx certified units.

All our calibration equipment is checked annually and is calibrated in accordance with BS EN ISO 7500-1:2004.


Rental

Our hire rates reflect the length of hire, the quantity of equipment and specification required. From our depots in Aberdeen and West Bromwich we can supply our range of equipment worldwide at the most competitive rates possible.

By including only Red Rooster products on our rental fleet we have both the in-house expertise and spare parts available to maintain our rental fleet to the highest standard.

The full range of Red Rooster standard air hoists, trolleys and low headroom units found in this catalogue are available for hire from 250kg to 50 tonne. We have chains available to give up to 100m height of lift on the smaller models and 50m on the 35 tonne and 50 tonne hoists, but we can supply longer heights of lift for special orders.

Training & Seminars

Red Rooster run three different types of training seminars designed to meet the needs of sales staff and service engineers.

The aim of these seminars is to develop a good understanding of Red Rooster products, where they are used and to give assistance in how to sell our products.

Where specific training in a single product or model is requested, a one day course can be arranged.

At the end of this course engineers will receive a certificate of attendance and will be more confident in the repair of hoists, cutting down on future repair time and saving on costly returns.

Training can be held at our Oldmeldrum, or West Bromwich Depots, at your own facility, or virtual courses can be held online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Sales SeminarThis is a 1 day course for your internal and external staff to give them an introduction to all Red Rooster products.

The purpose of this is to develop a strong product knowledge, gain information required to quote the correct product and how to sell the benefits of Red Rooster equipment. Although questions can be asked during the course it will end with an open discussion and a questions and answers session.

Advanced Sales / Product TrainingThis is a 2 day course and is aimed at sales and office staff looking for a more in-depth knowledge of Red Rooster products.

DAY 1 Sales Seminar

DAY 2Attendees will be taken through the more technical aspects of Red Rooster equipment, trouble shooting possible problems and learning how to diagnose problems over the phone. They will gain an understanding on how to identify abuse or neglect of equipment and how to improve operational safety.

Service CourseThis is a 2 day course targeted at all engineers who service, inspect or maintain Red Rooster air hoists.

DAY 1Attendees will cover all Red Rooster hoist models and the various types of equipment that go along with them. They will learn about safe operation, servicing, operational checks and trouble shooting.

DAY 2This will be spent working hands-on dismantling, assembling and testing hoists, learning inspection techniques, safety and how to diagnose faults. You will learn about standard replacement parts and when to replace them.
