LOCATION AND ACCESS

The 99 claim block is located approximately 8 miles north of the towneite of Shining Tree. The claim block strattlos t h ci Kelvin, Churchill township line, with 36 claims approximately 1/3 of the groups north extension, located I/'d mile east and nest of the i \. mile marker of the twp. line. The remaining 63 claims are located in Churchill Twp., with Michwakenda Lake on the east boundary, ;vest of Shining Tree c.vecut on the w r-c t boundary with Saville and Cochrane lakoo, lAi mile south of the claim block's south boundary.

Access to the property was by truck, from Tiwwins, south along HighwayIM to the junction of Hwy 650E* Travelling east, along this Highwayto thetownsito of Shining Troe^( Continuing Q miles E along highway 6^0,from Shining Tree, will bring you to the junction of Grassey Lakeroad north. Travelling north west along this road, for three to

four miles will bring you to the Kelvin and Churchill twps. line, running east west. A 3A mile traverse, west along the Twp. linewill bring you to the oast shore of Michwakenda Lake. Travelling

west across this lake for 1A mile will bring you to L 0+00 andBase Line of the survey grid. It should be noted that at the timeof this survey, all traverses north west along the Grassey Lakeroad and into the property was done by skidoo. Grassey Lake road

is not open to truck traffic during the winter months.

LINECUTTING

Atotal of llo miles of grid and baselines have been compassed and flagged. This mileage was done to cover the entire claim block from boundary to boundary, including all lakes.

The base line runs at an azimuth of 2?00 and extends from L 0+00 to L 8100 W. Cross lines were compassed and flagged every 300' along this base line. Stations were compassed, flagged and read at 100' intervals from this base line to 8100' K and 5100' S.

A second, sub base line was established between claims #699591 #699592 and runs west at 2?0O from line 300' west to 8100' west. There is a 700' south off set in this sub base line and is re established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary of the claim group. All cross lines were flagged at 300' along this sub base line, and all stations were flagged at 100' intervals, south to the groups boundary. (See grid sketch figure #3.)

GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY

]-|a^n,etopset or Survey

The magnetometer survey was completed using a Scintrex, MP-2, Proton Magnetometer. Corrections for diurnal variations in the magnetic field were made by establishing base stations at various locations along the baseline. The survey was tied in to these locations throughout the days worked, and corrections to the data was applied.

Technical and operational specifications of the Scintrex, MP-2, Proton Magnetometer are included as Appendix A of this report.

SURVEY RESULTS

The results of the magnetic survey are discussed in detail below.

Page 11: RPT ON PROTON MAG SUR KELVIN S, CENTRAL & CHURCHILL … · established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary

SURVEY RESULTS

Generally, the magnetic results correlate closely to the geologyof the area. The survey showed a basic east west to slightly north east

strike.-in magnetics, which coincide with the strike of the Diabase dikes. The

.Survey geology differs greatly to the geology of the ground east of Michi- wakenda lake due mainly to the major fault along the east boundary of the grid. This fault, the Michiwakenda Lake fault, strikes south east from the north east corner of the grid, in Kelvin Twp., and continues into Churchill Twp., in the form of lichiwakcnda Lake. Also, the diabase dikes are all parallel to the fault.

On the 36 claim block, located in Kelvin Twp., the magnetics show the presence of a dike in upper north east corner of the grid over claims #706764, 706773 and 671688 striking north west. A second major diabase dike is evident, striking south east from the lake, which is located on the north west tip of the grid, across claims# 671706, 571700, 671byy, 671693 ana bylooC. f.:he dike appears to have been faulted off in claim # 671686.

A third dike is evident, parallel and to the south west of the second dike. It begins in claim # 671705 and strikes south east to claim tt 671691. It reappears slightly to the south west in claim#671690 and continues south east into Churchhill Twp. The area of most active magnetics appear to be alon^ the east portion of the grid, in Kelvin Twp, and slightly south into Churchill Twp. This activity is directly west of the Michiwakenda Lake fault.

Another area of interest is centered over claims #671685 and 671684* The area shows two mag highs seperated by a magnetic low. Both zones are relatively short strike length and should De looked at more closely.

Page 12: RPT ON PROTON MAG SUR KELVIN S, CENTRAL & CHURCHILL … · established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary

SUi-VE/ ftESUL'i'S (con't)

continuing south, into Churchill Twp., the area of interest appears to bo along the west section of claims #710018 to 710020. In this section there appears to "be some folding or faulting as in the south west section #710020 . The contours show a structure striking north east for 3000' where it then strikes north for 700 to 1000'. To support the folding theory, it then appears to strike north, north west. However, ther is also evidence that the zone striking north east continues weakly for another /i800' NE and off of the grid. There is also another parallel zone to the north of this zone that also strikes off the grid to the north east. Further study of this area, either geophysically or with detail geology may resolve the issue.

Another area of minor interest is in the south 3ast section of claims#699596 and 699591. This area shows a magnetic trend striking westfor 2100' whore it butts up against an north south feature. The east extension of the zone strikes into Michiwakenda Lake fault.

Continuing south, in the survey grid, to the north shore of Okawa- kenda Lake, the contours generally show little to no significant features. A weak mag high strikes west across claim #699593 "but stops abruptly against a river striking south.

An area of interest shows visibly across claims #710028, 710023, . 710016 striking north west. The zone strikes across an island in Okawakenda Lake and there is abundant outcrop on the island which may explain the high. That portion of the zone which cute across the island is interesting as the high has an associated mag low paralleling it. Detailed geology would be advisable as surface exposure may clarify the mag results. The north west extension of this trend appears to fold east across claims#710016 and 671718.

Page 13: RPT ON PROTON MAG SUR KELVIN S, CENTRAL & CHURCHILL … · established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary

SURVEY RffSUJJPS (con 1 1) .

A weaker mag high parallel and to the south west of the above zone strikes across claims # 706678, 71002?, 71002/1, 710025 and weakly into claim # 706661. This zone closely relates to the stronger zone to the north east. They both may be representative of dikes.

Continuing south west from the above two zones, another, weaker zone also parallel to the first two is evident as areas of spot highs and strike lengths of 1200 feet.

In the area of claims #706677 and 710026, there is another area of interest. There is a major mag trending north west and off the property into the Kidd Creek property to the v/est. The zone has an associated mag low, and there is abundant outcrop in the area to warrant detail geology. Surface exposure may explain the mag results.

There is a gap in our information at this point due to a block of 12 claims, optioned or owned by Kidd Creek, This block is situated in the central portion of Marshall Minerals south v/est block of claims.

Across claims #706662 and 706663i the mag shows little information. Continuing west, the contours again show structure striking north, north v;est. This structure is probably the north extension of the mag trei-c's which are shov/n across claims #70 667*1- and 706675 to the south of Kidd's block. It should be noted thut this zone may have been tested by Kidd, as t he-, r e was a drill platform, on the ice, on L 10u 17 at 2200' S. It may have been drilled more than once as the* drill road continues south along L 103 \V from 2200 S to 3600 S.

There is also an old trench across L 10i?0 at 60^0 south. This trench also may have tested the v/est section of the zone.

Page 14: RPT ON PROTON MAG SUR KELVIN S, CENTRAL & CHURCHILL … · established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary

RESULTS (Con'tJ

Another area of interest covers claims #706672, 706671 and part of 766670. This mag trend strikes north west and has associated mag lows to the north east and south west. The abundance of outcrop in the area may also explain this feature.

The final area of interest covers claims #706669 and the north part of 706670, Here the mag trends show structure striking north east to east and off the survey grid to the east onto Kidd 1 s ground. There are also two minor , east striking trends, north across claim //706666. All of these zones warrant further study.

Page 15: RPT ON PROTON MAG SUR KELVIN S, CENTRAL & CHURCHILL … · established between claims #780035 and #70661 and continues at 2700 from L 8100' W to L 1^100' W, which is the west boundary

RECOHHEHDATIOJJS k CONCLUSIONS

Generally the north portions of the survey area, those claims in Kelvin and the north section of Churchill, correlate closely to the geology of the area. The dominant features in these areas are the diabase dikes. .Thore are,- however, a few areas of interest which should be followed up with VLF or vertical loop. The possibilities of outcrop in the area suggest that stripping and trenching may explain the features.

The survey area in and around the 12 claim block of Kidd's, definetly require both geophysical and geological follow-up. The presence of Kidd, their drilling and old trenches show that there has been past activity in the area. Also, the claims to the south have also been surveyed recently suggesting interest in the formation to the south of Marshall's property. In all, this aroa has-been the most active and further exploration is warranted to both, explain the inag trends and in the search for economical minerals.
