Roxybelle Heyse Honored at 2013 pARTy Fall Gala

Long-time Haggerty Museum of Art supporter, Roxy Heyse, received the Marquette University

Kairos Award at the Friends of the Haggerty pARTy Fall Gala, on Saturday, September 7. The

Kairos Award is an annual all-university award that recognizes the exceptional service of recipients

to the arts. Chaired by Tina Daniell, the Fall Gala also featured gourmet hors d’oeuvres and dinner

prepared by Shully’s Cuisine & Events, silent and voice auctions, and a Jazz and Champagne after-

party.

Director's Circle welcomes the Contemporary Art Society

The Friends of the Haggerty Director's Circle welcomed members of the Milwaukee Art Museum's

Contemporary Art Society for an evening at the Haggerty on Wednesday, October 30. Following

cocktails and conversation, and remarks by Director Wally Mason, guests were led by Curator of

Education Lynne Shumow on a tour of the Current Tendencies lll: Artists from Milwaukee

installations and heard first-hand from artists William Carpenter, Evan Gruzis, Jean Roberts

Guequierre, Jon Horvath and Mark Mulhern about their works on view in the galleries.
