Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and ServiceValve

Emerson's Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and Service Valve accesses internal monitoring equipmentinstalled in pipelines and vessels through hydraulic access fittings, and is ideal for replacing corrosionprobes and coupons under full pressure. The Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and Service Valve is the mostreliable and user-friendly retrieval tool available on the market.

The Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and Service Valve has the following features:

■ Small size and lightweight construction of the tool allows for increased flexibility.■ Withstands pressures up to 420 bar/6,000 psi or 690 bar/10,000 psi.■ Withstands temperatures up to 400 °F/204 °C.■ Creates less discharge than traditional systems, and is environmentally friendly.■ Comes with a service valve with a built-in bleed off valve that allows tool drainage even on 12 o’clock

positions.■ Uses a unique technology on bypass valves with replaceable tips made with a soft material to ensure

better performance with lower maintenance costs.■ Sleek and smooth surface ensures long lifespan.

Operating principleThe Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and Service Valve allows access fittings to have smooth internal walls free of any internalthreaded connections. This design eliminates seized probes or coupons and galling, often caused by sand being coated on thethreads of traditional mechanical plugs and fittings.

The Roxar Hydraulic Retrieval Tool and Service Valve has enhanced safety features, such as no moving parts and the ability tosupport remote operations. These enhanced safety features have made the Roxar Hydraulic Retriever Tool a preferred choice ofcompanies with zero-accident policies.

Figure 2 shows a Hydraulic Pump designed for manual operation (hand pumps), or air operation, which is recommended whenpressurized air is available.

Figure 3 shows the Roxar Double Block and Bleed Valve. This valve is compatible with 2” access fitting systems provided by mostcommon corrosion monitoring system providers.
