In addition to our tried and tested SIL2-certified PROFIsafe over PROFIBUS rotary encoder, a SIL2-certified PROFIsafe rotary encoder based on the more future-capable PROFINET is now available.
The dual-chamber rotary encoder achieves high shock and vibration resistance thanks to its robust design and offers protection types up to IP69K. Its operating temperature range extends from -40°C to +85°C.
In addition to a safe position value, the rotary enco-ders also supply a safe speed signal via the PROFIsafe protocol.
