DISTRICT 7620 SCHOLARSHIPS
Club must make a donation to the Annual Program Fund (APF)
Club must make a donation to the Polio Plus Program
The Club President along with the Immediate Past President or President-Elect or a Member of the Club must be MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) trained, read, sign, and submit the Club MOU to the DRFC (District Rotary Foundation Chair) and agree to follow its requirements. Note that the Club MOU is a binding agreement between the Club and the District.
POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Late November 2014 thru Mid February 2015: Individual Clubs promote scholarships to local high schools and/or colleges
February 15, 2015 thru March 14, 2015: Rotary Clubs review applicants and interview candidates. Each Club can submit one (1) candidate to the District
March 15, 2015: Deadline for individual Clubs to meet Rotary eligibility requirements and to submit a letter of sponsorship and completed application packet to Neil Fay, [email protected], District Scholarship Committee Chair.
Incomplete scholarship packets will not be considered for further review.
POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS March 15, 2015 thru April 14, 2015: Club
Scholarship nominees will be contacted by the District Scholarship Committee and invited to interview as finalists
Between April 15 and April 30, 2015: District Scholarship Committee will interview Club finalists and select winners
May 15, 2015: Scholarship recipients to be notified of their scholarship by the District Scholarship Committee Chair
October 2015: Scholarship funds will be sent to academic institutions where recipients are enrolled

Information for Student Applicants & Application Form
We appreciate your interest in applying for one of two competitive $5000 scholarships provided by Rotary District 7620. Eligible applicants must reside in our district and be enrolling in an accredited US college, university or technical school for 2015-2016. Your local Rotary Club will review all applicants and forward their finalist to the District Scholarship Review Committee. We will interview finalists at the district level. Scholarship funds will be sent to the academic institution of winning scholars to cover tuition, room, board and books. Instructions for Applicants A completed application for a Rotary District Scholarship will include the following items:
1. A completed Application for Rotary District 7620 Scholarship (page 2 of this document) 2. An essay explaining your educational objectives and subsequent occupational goals (300-500
words on a separate document) 3. A summary/resume of your extracurricular and community activities, work experience, awards
and honors received 4. An official copy of your high school or college transcript 5. A copy of any test scores (SAT, ACT, TOEFL) used to qualify for admission at a Post
Secondary institution Please submit your completed application packet to your local Rotary Club Contact listed below. Individual Rotary Clubs must select their finalist by March 15, 2015. The District Scholarship Committee will review all finalists and conduct interviews in March or April. Recipients will be notified of their selection by May 1, 2015.
