Dear colleagues, There is no doubt that today sustainability is seen

around the world as a crucial factor in improving living standards and ensuring future prosperity. However countries’ strategic goals may vary significantly when it comes to pursuing sustainable development. In order to ensure support for countries implementing these ambitious sustainable development initiatives, Rosatom has developed the Centers for Nuclear Science and Technology (CNST). Based on Rosatom research reactor technologies, CNSTs contribute to the high-tech industry, science, education and healthcare, boost agriculture and drive economic growth and well-being. To pave the way for CNST projects, we in Rusatom Overseas invite our partners to take advantage of our Integrated Offer which addresses countries’ specific needs and makes the full range of products and services available for our partners from a single supplier. We are open to a long-term collaboration to start shaping a better future today together.

Evgeny PAKERMANOV, President, Rusatom Overseas

RADIOISOTOPES

ACTIVITIES FULLY COMPLY WITH STRICT IAEA AND WHO REQUIREMENTS

Radioisotopes are used as ionizing radiation sources for non-destructive testing and inspection

` metal processing ` machine engineering ` other production disciplines

DiagnosisRadionuclide diagnosis is a highly sensitive technique for:

` carry out a precise medical survey

` choosing the optimal treatments and assessing their efficiency

Therapy

` Breeding strains with higher crop yields and high protein contents

` Breeding strains resistant to diseases and elements

` Pest control or elimination ` Preserving stored crops

Radionuclide therapy (RNT) means to intake into the patient’s body radiopharmaceuticals directly affecting the lesion of the disease. The key benefit of RNT is its selective and purposeful effect:

` the dose absorbed by the disease lesion is as high as possible

` healthy tissues are affected minimally

` side effects are subtle

Brachytherapy (contact radiation therapy) is a type of radiotherapy when the radiation source (Ir-192, I-125, Co-60, etc.) is introduced into the affected organ to deliver maximum doses directly to the tumor core with minimum impact on the organism

RADIOISOTOPE LABORATORY IS A COMPLEX OF TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT DESIGNED TO PERFORM SELECTIVE ISOTOPE EXTRACTION

PURPOSEThe purpose of the radioisotope laboratory is to produce prefabricated and finished radioisotope products to be used in the following areas:

INDUSTRY

AGRICULTURE

NUCLEAR MEDICINE

LABORATORY OBJECTIVES

APPLICATION

Neutron imaging is a non-destructive testing and imaging method applicable to objects of all types, including

those with moving parts. It allows to obtain information about the internal structure and substance composition of a product by exposing it to a neutron beam in a controlled manner and recording the neutron image without damaging the object of study. Neutron beams extracted from nuclear reactors assure the most widespread applicability of this method.

This high-precision diagnostic tool helps to detect structural failures to prevent emergencies and ensure industrial safety. In addition, it allows:

` to image any item’s inner structure, including biological one

` to study operating structure of machinery (neutron movie)

` to monitor and detect explosives ` to control welded joints ` to identify complex composite

goods, plastic and rubber items or other hydrogenous materials contained inside metal bodies

` to study biological and archaeological objects

` to monitor radioactive products, e.g. fuel elements of nuclear reactors, during service life testing
