Root Cause Analysis for Practice Nurses Wednesday 8 February 2017, 10:00 - 13:00 at the University of East Anglia, Norwich The aim of this half-day course is to provide delegates with an opportunity to explore principle and practice of the Root Cause Analysis framework. The session will be underpinned by pre-session reading to be completed prior to the course. Participants will have the opportunity to apply the RCA framework to a scenario. Health care professionals are being called upon more and more to undertake a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as a structured approach to learning from adverse clinical situations. Attending this session will provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to be able to contribute to a RCA investigation. Objectives By the end of this session participants will be able to: Understand the principles and practice governing the RCA process Understand the importance of establishing a chronology of the events How to Apply This course is funded by the Norfolk and Suffolk Workforce Partnership and is free to attend for staff working in Norfolk and Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Groups.
