It sets standards for boys to aspire to; it values tradition; it encourages excellence in all things; it recognises and celebrates the differences of our students; it provides opportunities for boys to expand their range of skills and abilities as they work through the process of realising their potential and becoming good men.
We are proud of our college’s heritage and look forward to the future. I hope you will become a part of this future and experience something of the culture and spirit of this fine college.

WHAT DO OUR STUDENTS SAY ABOUT RONGOTAI COLLEGE
Luke Gibbs
Rongotai College is a
step up from primary and
intermediate school with
more opportunities, a cooler
cat and a great sense of
brotherhood. Everyone you
meet in the hallway is nice,
and you’ll find yourself making new friends every
week. There is a new opportunity each week
and nowhere you can’t find someone to help
you. I really enjoy having a choice of option
subjects where no choice is a bad one. The only
choice you need to make now is the choice to
come to Rongotai College.

What I love about Rongotai
is how everywhere you walk
you feel like it’s your second
home. All the people you
meet are people you can
trust to ask if you’re lost, the
teachers are awesome and
supportive; they have really taught me how to
manage my time and homework, so that I get
everything done to the best standard I can. The

What I love about Rongotai
is the amount of support
you get from your teachers.
They are always ready to
help you reach your goals
as well as just helping when
you are stuck. The theme of
brotherhood is really prevalent and you always
feel like you can ask one of your brothers where
something is or how to get to a class. The
values of Rongotai are really encouraged by the
teachers and students and you always feel like
doing your best.

What I love about Rongotai
is the sense of brotherhood.
From the moment I walked
through the door I felt at
home. In all the time I’ve been
here I have never felt put down
or pressured for anything.
Also, the older boys are really nice and do their
best to help you when you need something. I
felt a bit worried when school first started but
thatfeelingquickly
dissipatedwithinafew
days.

The first day I walked through
the school doors I instantly felt
the welcoming atmosphere
Rongotai College is known
for. The pride shown by all
students at the school is
vividly displayed throughout
the sporting and academic elements of the
school. Although we are a comparatively small
college, all of the boys get along and respect
one another, and I think that’s what makes our
school so special.
