Moreover, LUISS offers English taught Master’s Degrees in Management, Economics, Finance, European Studies and Global Studies. LUISS is located in a green area in the heart of Rome. Its campus, made of beautiful historical buildings, has been completely restored in 2007, with full equipped classrooms and modern facilities.
LUISS students have a drop-out rate of 1.8% instead of the national average of 18%. LUISS students completing their Degree course on time are 82.1% instead of the national average of 41%. The average time before finding a job after graduation is four months.

Courses at luiSS are taught in different campuses which, though all located in historical buildings of great architectural value, offer modern facilities that provide a pleasant and comfortable learning environment.
All campuses are in the Trieste and Parioli area and are connected by a shuttle service for students.
Headquarters This is the historic luiss Guido Carli campus which sits the University's headquarters. It hosts the President, the Provost, the General Manager, the luiss School of Business and Management, the School of Journalism and the Web TV.
Social Science Campus In 2007, luiss opened a new campus located in the exclusive Parioli neighborhood and adjacent to Rome's second largest park, Villa Ada. Most of the teaching and research activities now take place in the new complex: the Departments of Economics and
Finance, Business and Management and Political Science, the Student Office, the Student Orientation Office, the Student Exchange Office, the International Development and Career Planning, the Research Office, IT Services and Radio luiss are located here.
Law Campus The building in via Parenzo hosts the Department of Law.
The School of Governmental Studies, the Library, the Financial Aid Office, the Housing Service, the Health Care service are located nearby to the luiss main buildings.

The University structure
The University has four Departments that offer undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs as well as professional training and lifelong learning.
The extensive programs offered by the University allow students to explore and deepen their academic interests in numerous areas and disciplines. The languages of instruction at luiss Guido Carli are Italian and English.
luiss vast network also includes the luiss School of Governmental Studies and the luiss School of Business and Management, which offer a high-level training for the future heads of the public and the private sector.
luiSS School of Governmental Studies (LSGS) was established in 2013 and is the area studies’ center for the coordination of luiss School of Government (SoG), which has been active since 2009, and luiss School of European Political Economy (SEP), established in 2013. LSGS mission is to promote programs aimed to investigate the governance and policies of modern national, European and international public institutions and political economies.
luiSS School of of Business and Management (LSBM) aims at educating future business and management leaders in an environment of excellent academic standards. The School fosters academic as well as applied research that can be of use to companies and to real-world needs of the international business community. LSBM has a strong international commitment together with a solid position and reputation in the Italian market.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES
Undergraduate studies consist exclusively in Bachelor’s Degree Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Laurea Triennale).They last three years and require 180 ECTS credits for completion. The programs aim at providing undergraduate students with adequate knowledge of general scientific principles and mastery of methods, as well as specific professional skills. The degree awarded is a Bachelor’s Degree. LUISS Guido Carli offers full-time undergraduate study in three of its four Departments: Economics & Finance, Business & Management and Political Science.
SINGLE CYCLE PROGRAM
Along with the three-cycle program system (Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate Studies) established by the Italian Ministry for Universities and Research, a limited number
of programs, called Single Cycle Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico), coexist with the new university system. They last five years and require 300 ECTS credits for completion. The degree awarded is a Master’s Degree. LUISS Guido Carli offers a Single Cycle Program in Law, which is held in Italian. During the first seven semesters (three and a half years), students have a common program of studies. In their fourth academic year, they are required to choose one of the paths offered by the Program. CORSI DI LAUREA TRIENNALE:I Corsi di Laurea Triennale durano tre anni e richiedono il raggiungimento di 180 crediti ECTS. a tempo pieno in tre dei suoi quattro dipartimenti: Economia e Finanza, Impresa e Management e Scienze Politiche. CORSI DI LAUREA A CICLO UNICOAccanto al sistema di Corsi di Laurea Triennale, Magistrale e Post Lauream istituito dal Ministero italiano dell’Università e della Ricerca, un numero limitato di programmi, chiamati Corsi di Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico, coesiste con il nuovo sistema universitario. GRADUATE STUDIES
Graduate studies include Master's Degree Programs and First Level Master Programs. Master Degree Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Laurea Magistrale) last two years and require 120 ECTS credits for completion. The Master Degree Programs aim at providing graduate students with advanced level of education and training for highly qualified professions in specific areas. The degree awarded is a Master's Degree.
The First Level Master Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Master universitario di primo livello) consist in advanced scientific courses or higher continuing education studies which aim at providing specialization and continuing education in specific fields. The Programs last one year and require 60 ECTS credits for completion (except for the one indicated with **, that lasts for two years and require 120 ECTS credits for completion). The title awarded is a First Level Master's Certificate

Department of Law The Department of Law has two different tasks: organizing the teaching of the five-year degree course in Law and promoting and coordinating scientific research with courses and doctoral research fellowships in the field of law. The Department also offers a path of the single cycle course (EU law and regulation), completely taught in English. The education offered is characterized by highly qualified and innovative professional training, focused on turning out corporate and company lawyers. Furthermore, particular attention is paid to the business and the world of labor: students are expected to complete internships and apprenticeships at numerous distinguished organizations and businesses. Other activities: Since 1997, luiss offers a program of 3-months internships in the USA for graduating or graduated students, through the Advanse-Amerigo Program. In addition to a wide range of facilities offered to LUISS students, international students also benefit from services designed to enable them to make a smooth transition to life in Rome.
LUISS International Development Office created an ad hoc Welcome Point for international students, offering them assistance at different steps:
Before their arrival at LUISS prospective international students will receive:• a welcome package providing them with information on their life at LUISS, in Rome and in Italy;• information on the Italian language course students might be interested to attend during their stay at LUISS in order to get a basic knowledge of the local language and be facilitated in the communication with people outside the University campus; • information on the CasaLUISS housing service that will help interested students to find a suitable accommodation in Rome;• information regarding the Visa procedures that extra-EU students must follow in order to enter Italy.
At their arrival at LUISSprospective international students will receive:• a dedicated welcome day and orientation session. In such occasion, students will be received by the International Development Office staff and will be assisted by the association Erasmus Student Network in knowing the LUISS campus services available;• the opportunity to participate to trips outside Rome with the aim of enlarging the Italian cultural experience, organized by the Erasmus Student Network; • a special focus on the Permit of stay procedures that extra-EU students must follow in order to stay legally in Italy;• everyday life assistance, starting from university administrative issues, to providing support in adapting to their new life in Italy;• invitations to the special program “Discovering Secret Rome”, that consists in cultural visits held in English in unusual and exclusive Rome’s locations - usually not open to the public. The service is offered by a famous art historian.

The Student OfficeThe Student Office supports and supplies students with all the information they need for their academic life. It takes care of the following: enrolment; admission to degree courses; payment of fees; examinations; study plans; degree examination; changing degree course or faculty; transferring from another university.
LibraryThe Library is specialized in Social Sciences, particularly in Law, Economics and Political Science. The collections provide over 129.000 monographs, 1.800 printed periodicals (including 700 current publications), more than50.000 periodicals in electronic format, 37.000 e-books, 82 databases. Expert librarians offer bibliographic assistance for consulting catalogues and data banks.
Financial Aid OfficeThe Financial Aid Office manages a number of services – i.e. University Canteen, the medical and prevention Service - and scholarships for students in order to facilitate their stay at LUISS. More in the specific, the Financial Aid Office offers Healthcare and nutritional advice, a free service to help students settle in, with private counseling and psychological care services named “LUISS ti ascolta”, assistance to deserving students with particular financial difficulties and much more.
LUISS International Development and Career Planning The International Development and Career Planning Office supports students who are looking for an internship during or after their studies and offers them useful tools before entering the business world and gaining professional experience. Through the organization of the Career Day, students and graduates also have the possibility to meet representatives from selected Companies, institutions and law firms, propose their CVs and have openings for job interviews.
Cultural and Leisure activitiesLUISS offers students the possibility to participate to activities like Radio LUISS and the LUISS TV, either than drama courses, Cineforums, photography and writing contests, etc. The University has also agreements with a number of theatres in Rome, offering students cut price tickets or discount season tickets.

Prima del loro arrivo in LUISSI futuri studenti internazionali riceveranno:• un welcome package contenente informazioni sulla loro vita in LUISS, a Roma e in Italia;• informazioni sul corso di lingua italiana che gli studenti potrebbero essere interessati a frequentare durante il loro periodo in LUISS, con lo scopo di raggiungere una conoscenza di base della lingua locale ed essere facilitati nelle comunicazioni con le persone al di fuori del campus universitario; • informazioni sul servizio di assistenza nella ricerca di un alloggio offerto dal centro servizi immobiliari CasaLUISS , che aiuterà gli studenti a trovare la sistemazione più adatta alle proprie esigenze;• informazioni relative alle procedure per l’ottenimento del Visto, che gli studenti extra – europei dovranno espletare per entrare in Italia.
Al loro arrivo in LUISSI futuri studenti internazionali riceveranno:• una Giornata Di Benvenuto e una sessione di orientamento a loro specificamente dedicata, durante le quali gli studenti verranno accolti dallo staff dell’Ufficio Sviluppo internazionale e assistiti dall’associazione Erasmus Student Network nella scoperta di tutti servizi disponibili all’interno dei campus LUISS;• l’opportunità di partecipare a viaggi fuori Roma, con l’obiettivo di allargare l’esperienza culturale italiana, organizzati dall’Erasmus Student Network.
• Una sessione dedicata alle procedure finalizzate all’ottenimento del Permesso di Soggiorno, necessarie per soggiornare legalmente in Italia;• Assistenza relativa ai problemi di tutti i giorni, cominciando con questioni amministrative universitarie fino ad arrivare al supporto nell’adattarsi alla nuova vita in Italia; • Inviti a partecipare al programma speciale “Alla scoperta di Roma segreta”, che consiste in visite culturali, tenute in inglese, a luoghi sconosciuti e esclusivi di Roma – generalmente non aperti al pubblico. Il servizio è offerto da un noto storico dell’arte.

La Segreteria StudentiLa Segreteria Studenti fornisce agli studenti tutte le informazioni di cui essi necessitano durante il percorso accademico.Si occupa di iscrizione, ammissione ai corsi, pagamento delle rette di iscrizione, registrazione agli esami, scelta dei corsi di studio, discussione della tesi di laurea, cambi di corso o Dipartimento, trasferimento da altre Università.
BibliotecaLa Biblioteca è specializzata nelle Scienze Sociali, in particolare in Diritto, Economia e Scienze Politiche. La collezione offre oltre 129.000 monografie, circa 1.800 periodici in formato cartaceo (tra cui 700 pubblicazioni correnti), più di 50.000 periodici in formato elettronico, 37.000 e-book, 82
banche dati. Esperti bibliotecari offrono assistenza bibliografica nella consultazione dei cataloghi e delle banche dati.
Diritto allo studioIl Diritto allo studio gestisce servizi – per esempio la Mensa , il servizio di assistenza e prevenzione medica – e borse di studio per gli studenti , volti a facilitare la loro permanenza in LUISS. Più specificamente, il Diritto allo studio offre un servizio di consulenza sanitaria e nutrizionale, il servizio di assistenza gratuito “LUISS ti ascolta”, assistenza agli studenti meritevoli con particolari difficoltà finanziarie e molto altro.
Sviluppo Internazionale e Career Planning L’ufficio Sviluppo Internazionale e Career Planning assiste gli studenti nella ricerca di stage durante o alla fine degli studi e offre loro gli strumenti per orientarsi nel mondo del lavoro e acquisire esperienza professionale.Inoltre organizza l’annuale Career Day nel corso del quale gli studenti ed i laureati possono incontrare i responsabili della selezione di aziende , istituzioni e studi legali, proporre il curriculum vitae e svolgere colloqui conoscitivi.
Attività culturaliLa LUISS offre agli studenti la possibilità di partecipare a attività come quelle di Radio LUISS e della LUISS TV, oltre che corsi di teatro, Cineforum, concorsi fotografici e di scrittura, etc. L’Università ha anche accordi con un numero di teatri a Roma, che offrono biglietti e abbonamenti a prezzi ridotti agli studenti.
