In these uncertain times
Being prepared Matters!
Our speaker today was Cathy Reardon of UF Health The Villages
Hospital Auxiliary Foundation. She told us that they have set up a
seoerate fund call The Pandemic Preparedness Fund. This fund
will be used to offset the cost of supplies needed during this pan-
demic crisis and to endure that the hospital is able to meet the
needs of their frontline healthcare workers should we have to
deal with another crisis in the future. Cathy can be contacted at
352-751-8871 if you would like to make a donation.
Cathy also mentioned that the Rotary District we are a part of,,
donated $5,000.00 each to the Villages Hospital and the Leesburg
Hospital and another $10,000.00 to other hospitals in our dis-
trict.
This was made possible by Past District Governor Jo Weber and
The Rotary Foundation.

Chantel Buck serves as the President/CEO of New Vision for Independence, the Leesburg-based non-profit organiza-tion serving the visually impaired and blind in Lake and Sumter counties. She believes that blindness does not have to be a barrier to independence, and leverages her Bache-lor’s degree in advertising from the University of South Florida and MBA from Western Governors University to empower visually impaired individuals of all ages to be successful. A member of Mensa, Chantel’s mission in life is to always be learning; from braille to budgets, Photoshop to FLSA, technology to tofu, Chantel is a self-proclaimed “human sponge.” She is a Florida native and loves her three kids, chocolate, and Harry Potter.

The Four Way Test
Of the things
We think say or do
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all con-
cerned?
3. Will it build goodwill
and better Friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to
all concerned?

Hi Noon Club,
The next collection date for the Tri-County Rotary Clubs (7
clubs) will be
Date: Saturday July 18
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, 17330 US-441, Sum-
merfield, FL 34491 (This is north of Walmart and Stone-
crest, on the opposite side of the street)
If you're able to help, please reply to this email. This is
set up to send to Rex Dugan. We're happy to have you
come for some or all the event.
Food collected will be driven to area food banks either
during or after drop-off. Bring PPE, a chair, something to
drink and sun protection. We will have tents on site. We
had 10 Rotarians & friends, more than enough to collect
but this gave all a nice opportunity to chat.
We need small boxes to organize what we receive. Please
save them and we'll figure out how to collect them.
I'm sending this on behalf of Rex.
