A comprehensive computer code is developed, based upon the Newton- Raphson method, which solves for the equilibrium of the axial force and tilting moments that are generated by asperity contact and fluid film effects. A contact mechanics model is incorporated along with a finite volume method that solves the compressible Reynolds equation.
