Robinson Volleyball

Information Update

1. Our camp will be July 12-15th from 5-8 PM, and July 16th from 9-11 AM. Cost will be $40. If you have to miss

part of the camp, let me know and we will adjust the cost. If you write a check, please make it out to RHS

Volleyball. You can pay anytime between now and July 12th. We will still lift at 8:30 AM that week, but will not

have open gyms in the morning.

2. We will be having a Varsity scrimmage against Casey on July 19th at 9 AM (this could change to the evening). We

will also be having a JV/Varsity scrimmage against Newton on July 20th at 5 PM. I am trying to get one or two

more scrimmages scheduled for that week.

3. Here is the schedule for the first week of practice. These are regular season practices, thus mandatory.

Tryouts: August 11th from 9-11 AM and 6-8 PM, August 12th from 9-11 AM.

Regular practices will be August 12th from 6-8 PM, August 13th from 9-11 AM and 6-8 PM, and August 14th from

9-11 AM. School starts the next week. I will get a full season schedule to you the week of tryouts. We currently

have 33 girls that I know of that are interested in playing, like I told you before, I plan on keeping between 27-29

players for the season.

4. In order to tryout, you must have a physical and sign the Pledge Sheet. I will get Pledge Sheet information to

you in the next couple of weeks. Freshmen, your required school physical to enter high school will count for

your athletic physical as well. Everyone please get this taken care of well before August 11th!

5. If you are going to buy new knee pads for this season, please get black. If you already have white ones don’t go

and buy them in black, white will be fine.

6. I am going to do a shoe order this year. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET THESE SHOES. If you have already bought

shoes or want to get a different pair, then that is fine. We are going to get Mizuno Wave Lightning 6. The color

will be black with silver. I’m working on getting the lowest price possible. The more people that order them, the

cheaper they will be. I imagine they will cost around $75 each. These are good shoes and should last more than

one year. I want to order them in early to mid July, so please let me know as soon as possible if you are

interested. If you are worried about making the team, I do not advise you to get these shoes.
