The Logistics Assistance Program:
Proponent of The Department of the Army, G4
U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) is delegated as lead agency and with command responsibility
U .S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) is delegated lead for program execution and management. ASC LAP Dir, in coordination with the Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs) provides personnel to support the AFSB/AFSBn/LSE/BLST/LST network, with Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs) located worldwide at major installations, posts, camps, or stations.

LAP personnel are essential to AMC’s mission in the field. (First Responders)
We serve as the focal point for integration of AMC Materiel Enterprise to Combat Commanders.
Embedded with each AC Brigade Combat Team and Combat Aviation Brigade, AFSBn and AFSB.
Our essential mission will endure beyond current contingency operations and provide the tactical link to the
operational force.
LARs provide early detection and resolution of logistics related problems that have an adverse impact on unit
readiness.
Providing expertise to the Army as the Army transitions “Back to the Basics” for sustainment of a CONUS
based deployable Army
