Vision Quests & Wilderness Journeys 2012

I have been leading vision quests both solo andin tandem with Charles Tilt since the summer of2010. I have completed the School of LostBorders comprehensive Month-Long Wilderness

Guides training, am a member of theWilderness Guides Council, and am wildernessfirst aid certified in addition to much personalnatural healing experience. It is the entirety ofmy life experience, however, that prepares mefor this work.

From the moment I returned from my first Vision Quest it was clearto me that rites of passage are an essential part of being human. Iam passionate about sharing this work with others both for theirempowerment and for the betterment of the world.

Vision QuestThe Vision Quest is a modern day wilderness rite of passage. It engages ones entire being,

requiring each participant to strongly claim their whole self. The Vision Quest is a nine day

journey of Nature, Spirit and Community including three days and nights of fasting and

solitude in wild nature plus follow-up support from the Vision Quest community.

The human world is in the midst of

    tremendous change, a psycho-social-

    spiritual-ecological crisis through

which we must pass in order to

    survive and thrive.

For humanity to initiate into a

more mature form, we must each

initiate into our next more mature

    form.

    Crossing a threshold, expanding

into the Mystery, emerging with our

piece of the unfolding story of

    humankind...

You have a necessary role to play

in this essential work of our times.

I returned from the vision quest with a greater sense ofmy need for community, knowing my gifts and how Icontribute, and a greater sense of my place in the world.

I brought back to my community much more than I setout to find.Talicia Brown, Eugene, OR

to be out in the wilderness and feel somehow inthe center of the world among my people! The visionquest was exactly what I needed.

    Who does a VisionQuest?

    Those who hear a call.

Those who are ready to claim

    their birthright of initiation into

    adulthood, mature adulthood,

    or elderhood.

Those who are ready to mark a

    major life transition such as

    marriage, divorce, entering

    parenthood, change of job, loss

of a loved one, health crises, etc.

    People like you and me.
