Kids in CampJoin our energetic and experienced staff for a summer filled with FUN activities including crafts, games, swimming, cooking, field trips and much more every week. Camp tuition includes two field trips a week, activities and two daily snacks. Campers must bring a bag lunch (no glass containers, please). A $25 deposit per child per week due at registration; balance due one week prior to the starting date of each camp week. All fees are non-refundable. Sign up for all 10 full weeks of enrichment, or simply select the weeks you need! KIC will not meet Friday, July 4th due to the holiday.

Green Ridge Add-On ProgramAges 5-11. Get all the FUN of a half-day themed camp with the CONVENIENCE of a full-day enrichment camp! The Green Ridge Add-On Program allows your child to participate in Green Ridge Summer Day Camp in the morning and afternoon, but still attend the Themed Camp of their choice from 1pm to 4pm. This gives working parents the perfect option to add variety to your child’s summer plans. You must register for BOTH the themed camp and the add-on listed below. Please note that children must have completed a year of Kindergarten in order to take part in this experience. this add-on is not eligible for any extra discounts like early bird or members and is only available for theme camps located at Green ridge. Green Ridge Full Day Summer CampThere’s no way your kids will be bored this summer, when they sign up for full day camp at Green Ridge! This program combines the “healthy fun” of Green Ridge Recreation Center and Splash Valley Water Park, with the excitement of organized activities from our experienced staff. Your camper’s week will be filled with arts, crafts, sports, games, swimming at Splash Valley and the indoor pool, field trips and more. All activities and two daily snacks are included in the weekly fee. Campers must pack a daily lunch, swimsuit, towel and athletic shoes. A $25 per week deposit is due at time of registration and the remaining balance will be scheduled through automatic draft of your bank card. Green Ridge members receive an additional discount per week. Participants must be rising 1st graders and have completed a year of Kindergarten. Sign up for all 10 full weeks of enrichment, or simply select the weeks you need!

Full Day Extreme CampsMountain QuestGet ahead of the game with this week long day camp dedicated to the world of outdoor sports. Learn skills of the trade from experienced staff with an emphasis on education, ethics, and fun! Nail bull’s-eyes at the archery range, practice wilderness survival, hook a trout from the Roanoke River, orienteer the diverse terrain, and gain experience in hunter education, wildlife conservation, leave no trace, and animal tracking. Horseback Riding CampSaddle up and get ready for a full week of fun on horseback! We’ve partnered with Reba Farm in Bedford County to offer a hands-on, 6-night experience including lodging meals, snacks and beverages. Learn to ride without any previous experience. Plus get the horsemanship skills on the ground you need; including grooming, horse tack, nutrition, first aid, reining and more! Camp will end with a show on Saturday at Noon which family and friends are invited to attend. This course is limited to 10 participants. Children and adults are both welcome to enroll.

Soccer CampFor over 10 years, Roanoke County’s most popular camp has been improving the skills and knowledge of one of the Valley’s most popular sports, Soccer! Lead by a collection of area college and high school coaches and players, these camps are sure to help your child expand on the skills needed for organized soccer. The format of the camps is based on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s youth developmental guidelines that focus on the fundamentals of the games in a fun and safe atmosphere.

Softball CampOur youth softball camps are designed to teach fundamental softball skills in a fun and exciting environment. Each camp is lead by the Virginia Extreme Force travel softball coaches with numerous players from local middle and high schools acting as counselors for the week. The registration fee includes a tee shirt, drinks, snacks and prizes throughout the week. Registration is limited to allow for a camper to staff ratio of 7:1. Each participant is required to come prepared for play which includes active wear, a helmet and glove. Campers may bring their own bat if desired.

Karate KampLearn the techniques to enhance motor skills and hand-eye coordination while having fun! Children will also learn ways to effectively protect themselves. Instructor Tom Ramsey will lead them through skills and drills to teach them the proper pre-skills of Karate.



Tennis CampThis fun and exciting camp is great for all level of junior players who are looking to get started in tennis or develop their young games. The camp is lead by 11-1 Inc., a collection or area college coaches and players who will instruct campers on the basics of the tennis stroke, court positioning and scoring system. Little DippersThis is a fantastic opportunity for young preschool children to experience water safety and swimming skills through a series of exciting and interactive activities. Children will have a group swimming lesson, themed crafts, water safety lessons and snacks - all in a structured environment led by camp staff and Certified Water Safety Instructors. Children will also get a chance to have supervised free play in the pools daily during camp time. Participants must be potty trained.

Youth With DisabilitiesA.C.E. Camp (Activities Created for EnrichmentACE Camp is the Roanoke Valley’s only community therapeutic recreational camp for youth ages 5 to 21 with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. ACE Camp offers a variety of activities: music & movement, sports & games, arts & crafts, as well as field trips and swim days. ACE is a weekly, 8-week camp held at Penn Forest Elementary School. Typical staffing ratios of ACE campers to staff is 1:2. All new potential ACE campers must complete an assessment before registering for camp. Camp roanokeDiscovery (rising grades K-5)Looking for a day camp experience focused on outdoor adventure and fun? The Discovery program introduces campers to a wide range of activities that include: archery (ages 7+), arts and crafts, field games, social development, climbing tower, hiking, creeking, special events, a trip to Splash Valley Water Park and much more! Leave no trace principles and environmental awareness are incorporated into all aspects of this program.

Trek - New River Gorge (rising grades 9-11)Join us on our trip to wild and wonderful West Virginia! This Trek is an extreme experience not to be missed. They will then journey to West Virginia and experience tent style living, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, hiking and environmental education in the beautiful and historic New River Gorge.
