Scheduled planning runs

Increase the planning efficiency by avoiding interruption times. The planner can start the optimizer for groups of freight units and work with other freight units in parallel, e.g. start optimization asynchronously for the next depot/area and check/adjust the previous optimization result at the same time.

Optimization of TruckloadIncrease utilization of freight sequences by automatically finding the best fitting trans-portation request. The optimizer algorithm selects unplanned freight units and places them into the freight sequence by considering given restrictions.

Intuitive UI provides efficient tools

■ RTC® Freight Sequence The standard SAP TM process is enhanced by a new object (freight sequence) which is generated by the Road Transportation Cockpit®.

This “virtual freight order” allows RTC® to simulate planning scenarios on transport level without touching or creating SAP TM standard documents until the freight se- quence is released to a freight order.

■ Prerequisites Vehicle resources are created. Freight units are automatically generated from forwar- ding orders, OTR or DTR. Customizing set- tings for Freight Order Management are configured.

■ Results Freight orders are generated automatically when freight sequences are released.

Planning WizardMinimize manual steps by using smart functions. The planner selects a freight unit and drops it into a freight sequence. The wizard automatically detects related freight units (based on customized BRF+ logic) and automatically adds them to the freight sequence.

From Freight Sequence to Freight OrderAutomatic freight order creation based on freight sequence data. Freight orders are gene-rated individually for each freight sequence. Release of a planning version will create all related freight orders in one step.
