    Background

    Traffic accidents are a major problem, particularly in

    the developing world.

    Over 75% of total global accident deaths occur in

    developing countries.

    These Countires carry only 32% of the total vehicles

    of the world.

    That accidents often occur as a result of several different contributory factors, and

    that the implementation of road safety plans will require the joint efforts of diversestakeholders to be successful.

    Aims and Objectives

    Enhance participants job-specific technical skills

    Introduce participants to the spectrum of

    possible road safety interventions which

    takes into account the inter- relationships among

    various factors, and help them design the best andmost cost-effective solution for the given conditions.
