Main Motivation: Safety!
Whenever possible: lower access minima into aerodromes, compared to those for conventional Non-ILS approaches► Horizontal Visibility► Minimum Descent or Decision Height
Publication of the 3 minima, to serve ALL airspace users:► LPV► LNAV/VNAV► LNAV
Two-step implementation process:► Today: publication of procedures, co-existant with conventional approach procedure(s)► Future: optimization of the impacted airspace, once the conventional procedure(s) can/will be withdrawn.
Policy endorsed by the Belgian « PBN Implementation Group », representing all aviation stakeholders.
