Our source of electrical pover conBi~t8 of three 75 XV caterpillar dieseldriven field type generators . The entire diptribution system 1s made upof salvaged Japanese materials , such as , transformers , Bwitches, and vire oOn a recent trip of the Public Works Officer to Truk , he was f ortunate toobtain , through the excellent cooperation of the CAU Truk per s onn el , addi tional Japanese transformers and wi fe from Dubion Island . These have augmented the overloaded transformers and t he installation o~them has abaWDconsiderable improvement to the electrical system . The transmissi on linesare being stretched further to furnish power to the new Campsite area andalso to the new officers dependent houQng area . The distribution systemas yet is not wholly satisfactory due to the lsr e number of splices andodd s izes of wire plue the inadequate transformers of the proper type andsize . Materials to correct the above discrepancy are on requisition .

Two generators of 50 KV capacity have been shi nned to Guam for a completeoverhaul and a new 75 KW generator is reported m be at Guam awai tingshipment .
