How to Troubleshoot the IUCS/IUPS

Parameters for the Ethernet interface

Example command: Read the bandwidth of IFGE0 interface on the NPGE 0 unit to 1000.

The total capacity of the NPGE interface card is 1.65 Gbps and this capacity is shared between the two

interfaces.

Interrogate IP addresses e.g. in the NPGE units is done using MML command is ZQRI. The IU-PS user plane address 10.131.0.62/32 in NPGEP 0 in the example

Interrogating VLANs

You can interrogate a VLAN interface with commands QRE. NPGE(P) is the only unit to support VLAN

interface. VLAN can be created using command

Interrogating IP forwarding for ICSU and NPGE

Interrogate a static route for the NPGE to the gateway

Control plane is terminated to PAPU unit in SGSN. Static route is defining the route to SGSN through the

gateway.

Interrogate is done using ZQKB command. If the network address for the PAPU in the SGSN is

10.10.6.192/26 and the gateway IP address is 10.1.2.7 in the multilayer switch at the RNC site, the static

route is configured using MML command(ZQKC:NPGE,2:10.10.6.192,26:10.1.2.7;)
