Page 13: RMIC November Production Report

SPORTSMANSHIPOn December 5th, 67 schools attended the 2012 Sportsmanship Summit in Stevens Point, which is the second highest in the six times this Summit has been run.

The Sportsmanship Summit assists schools in addressing citizenship and sportsmanship issues with students, student-athletes, adult fans, advisors, parents and booster clubs; developing plans to improve or maintain good sportsmanship; defining appropriate behavior; and setting sportsmanship expectations as a means to educate.

The Summit also featured two keynote addresses and three time slots for five different break-out sessions, which focused on the ideals of sportsmanship/citizenship. The morning keynote speaker was presented by Craig Hillier, author of Playing Beyond the Scoreboard and the afternoon keynote speaker was presented by Jay Wilson, long-time sports announcer of WIAA State basketball broadcasts and sports director at WISC-TV in Madison.

The participants also attended three morning break- out sessions. The subjects for the five break-out presentations available during the three time slots were:

“The Coach & Participant Roles in Sportsmanship” by Bill Collar

“Sportsmanship--The Officials Prospective” by former WIAA official Dave Kelliher

“Hazing/Initiation Prevention” by Oregon Middle School principal Jim Pliner

“Sportsmanship Discussion Roundtable” moderated by Greg Lampe and Tara Weisbrod of the WIAA Sportsmanship Committee

Rural Mutual has a new agent referral program called PAL (Providing Agency Leader). This program offers cash for referring high quality prospects.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR PAL CASH?Agents, employees of Rural Mutual and Wisconsin Farm Bureau, and County Farm Bureau board members are eligible for the referral cash. Rural Mutual’s Executive Team members, Human Resource Department personnel, District Managers, Director of Sales and the Recruiting Coordinator are not eligible for this cash.

WHAT IS A NEW AGENT PROSPECT?An agent prospect is considered “new” as long as he/she is not a re-hire within the last 3 years, no PAL referral bonus has been paid previously, and are not transferring from one agency to another.

HOW DO I MAKE A REFERRAL?Contact Adam Ross at 715-498-2688 or [email protected].

HOW LONG WILL THE PROGRAM LAST?This program may be discontinued at any time and is administered at the discretion of home office management. However, all financial commitments that are earned once a new agent prospect becomes a financed agent through the PAL program will be honored.

HOW WILL IT WORK?The person who refers the new agent prospect may receive cash as follows:

• $500 after the prospect signs the financed agent contract and is in good standing at the end of 30 days.

• $500 when the financed agent earns their agent development bonus in 3 out of the 4 quarters in year 1. (bonus will be paid out after the agent has been with Rural Mutual Insurance Company one year and is in good standing)

• $500 when the financed agent earns their agent development bonus in 2 out of the 4 quarters in year 2. (bonus will be paid out after the agent has been with Rural Mutual Insurance Company two years and is in good standing)

With the holidays just around the corner I thought I would send out the PAL Referral Program again. If you are with family and friends this holiday season and come across someone that is looking for a career, maybe being an agent with Rural Mutual is the

career for them. Referring a family member or friend could mean extra spending cash for you in 2013. It is as easy as emailing me or calling me with the contact information. I look forward to talking with your referrals and potentially paying out EXTRA CASH!
