RITON RT-S Mod 5

3-12X56 Illuminated Reticle Riflescope

Thank you for choosing a quality RITON rifle scope. This manual is designed to help you get the fullest

potential out of your new RITON scope and to ensure you have years of trouble free use.

Made from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum. Your RITON RT-S Mod 5 3-12x56IR riflescope is

waterproof, fogproof and the lenses are fully multi-coated. It has been tested to withstand up to 1200 G

force of impact as well as being sealed with O rings and Nitrogen purged for fog and water protection. It

has long eye relief, easy to use tactical adjustment knobs for elevation, windage and side parallax

adjustment (on select Models).

Mounting Your Scope

It is recommended, if you are not familiar with scope mounting, that you have a professional mount

your scope.

If you decide to mount it yourself, we recommend using high quality scope rings like the RITON RT-M

scope rings. It is important to use rings that fit the proper tube size of the scope you are mounting.

Following the mounting instruction that are included with your scope rings. Before completely

tightening the scope rings look through your RITON scope and ensure that you have proper eye relief

and the reticle is level and plum.

Note: Mounting the scope too far back can cause injury with the rearward recoil of the rifle.

It is recommended that you initially bore sight your scope to ensure proper alignment with your rifle and

to save time when zeroing your rifle at the range.

Zeroing Your Scope

Final sighting in of your rifle and scope should be done with live ammunition. It is recommend you

shoot at a target of known distance that is comparable to the distance you plan to hunt or shoot at.

Three shot groups are the best way to average and zero in your rifle. Scopes equipped with the RITON

Drop Zone reticle should zero their scopes at 100 yards for 5.56 and at 50 yards for .22 LR.

Your RITON RT-S Mod 5 rifle scope feature finger-adjustable Elevation and Windage knobs and each

adjustment is accompanied by an audible click. The adjustment value is clearly marked on your scope,

either ¼”, ½”, or .1 Mil intervals. The Elevation knob is marked “UP” and the Windage knob is marked

“R”.

Once you have sighted in your scope you can realign your turrets to the zero position for easy reference

in the future. All you need to do is unscrew the turrets with an allen wrench, being careful not to turn

the turrets, pull them straight up, align the “0” on the turret with the hash mark on the scope and re-

secure the turret. In the future if you ever need to adjust your scope you can always quickly adjust it

back to “0”.

Fast Focus Eyepiece

This allows you to adjust the focus so the reticle appears clear to your eyes. All RITON scopes are

focused at the factory but if you need additional adjustments simply turn the fast focus eyepiece until

the image you are viewing becomes clear.

Variable Power Scopes

To change the magnification, simply turn the magnification adjustment ring to the desired magnification

level. Lower powers offer a wider field of view while higher powers offer a more focused zoomed in

view. The RITON Drop Zone reticle is designed to be the most accurate on the highest magnification

setting.

Side Parallax Adjustment (Select Models)

Parallax is when the target and reticle are not on the same focal plane. The parallax adjustment knob

allows you to adjust a movable lens inside your scope in order to eliminate any parallax aiming issues.

Simply line up the estimated distance to your target with the corresponding numbers on the parallax

adjustment knob. If your target distance is unknown, simply turn the parallax knob while looking

through your scope until your scope is focused as sharply as possible.

Illuminated Reticles

Scopes equipped with an illuminated reticle have an extra knob either located on top of the eyepiece.

The knob that controls the illuminated reticle has power levels between 0(off) and 11(high). To turn on

the illumination feature simply turn the knob until the illuminated part of the reticle is visible. Always

store the scope with the knob set to 0 to prolong battery life. The scopes use a single CR 2032 battery

for power. To access the battery compartment simply twist off the cover on the brightness adjustment

knob and replace the battery with the positive side facing up. For extended storage timeframes it is

recommended that you remove the battery.
