Assurances from SPIE on cleaning products used and if they are effective against COVID-19 There is adequate supervision, where required, to ensure procedures are correctly adhered to. Ref: School Behaviour Policy Personal Protective Equipment Ref:(Covid-19) RA - Infection control risk assessment, as required: RA ref infection control. See appendix 1 covid-19 guidance for scenario planning. Staff and Pupils who are symptomatic will not be allowed to attend school. If a member of staff is symptomatic they would be expected to undertake a Covid-19 test within the first 3 days of displaying symptoms and feedback results to the Headteacher. parents to receive COVID-19 school information Pupils with parents exhibiting symptoms will not be allowed to attend school and will be requested to isolate as per national guidance SLT must also review all of the following applicable individual risk assessments where relevant:

ref: Pupil RA for vulnerable and children with needs individual RA and agreement. Covid-19 specific extended duty of care risk assessment considered and carried out where relevant for all staff meeting the following criteria:

• Vulnerable member of staff who have received a Government shielded letter

• Staff who have an extremely vulnerable household member

For staff who are currently shielding following advice from their clinician they will be required to provide written evidence to support to the Headteacher. For those who are not deemed as clinically vulnerable, they will be required to undertake an individual RA to ensure their needs are met whist working from school. Ref: Individual RA Vulnerable workers. This RA will be carried out with individual members of staff by the SBM. See definition of clinically vulnerable adults, shielded or a clinically vulnerable person in Liverpool Educational Establishments Reopening Support Document There will be occasions when an extended duty of care risk assessment is required. This could be to do with underlying health conditions, BAME or other potential risk groups. Fazakerley High School are awaiting outcomes and will act with extreme caution to ensure the safety of all staff to ensure their safety. Formal process in place for SLT to contact the worker if required, as detailed within applicable risk assessment above. School Business Manager to regularly update and inform staff re government guidance regarding covid-19 controls required:

See SPIE guidance…all PPE will be double bagged and disposed of as per government guidance. All staff informed that hands should be washed regularly as per Government guidance. Ref: see timetable of school day including rooms with hand washing facilities for all staff and pupils. Rooms selected from 1st -15th June fully equipped to enable all staff and pupils the means to hand wash. Hand washing built into the pupil timetable to allow staff and pupils the means to wash hands at regular 1 hour intervals. Timetable in place WC 22.06.20 will see additional year 10 pupils into school daily from 09.15 to 12.15. There will be a maximum of 30 on a ratio of 1 < 7. They will have a 10 minute rest break which will be taken in the classroom with the opportunity for a comfort break. Pupils will not require MMB or Lunch, pupils will be dismissed from site at 12.15. Current vulnerable pupils will move from the Science corridor down to DT Corridor, year 8 will remain in the staffroom. There will be 4 rooms made available for vulnerable pupils from years 7 and 9. The cohort of year 10 pupils will remain on the science corridor split between 4 classrooms (numbers dependant). This could reduce to 3 rooms. Current cleaning regimes in place are sufficient, a deep clean at the end of each day will be required for the science classrooms. Current timetable to continue what was put into place from 01.06.20 See updated SPIE cleaning regimes with additional rooms added. These rooms will be used for pupils to have 1-1 periods with LM. Pupils will be based at different desks. During MMB and lunchtime the desks and chairs will be cleaned down for the afternoon. • Increment weather ensure staggered MMB and lunchtime to allow cleaning staff sufficient time to clean down tables and chairs in the dining room

• 1 in and 1 out for toilet use

• Classes are split in half with no classroom holding more than 10 pupils as per government guidelines:

• Pupils will then be kept in their small groups (‘bubbles’) and should not mix with other groups during the day

• Wherever possible, staff supervising a cohort should also remain within this ‘bubble’

• Classes should be kept together and mixing with other classes minimized, as much as possible.

• Subject specialist rotation of staff; this will be managed to limit mixing as much as possible.

• Workshops and science labs layouts should follow the same layout considerations as general classrooms.

• All classes are to take place in the same setting wherever possible to limit the numbers moving around the school.

• Timetables should be revised where possible to reduce movement around the school premises and to stagger busy transitional periods between classes.

• Dining room is laid out or 50 settings to maintain 2m social distancing as far as is reasonable practicable.

Covid-19 virus; School day

Staff Pupils Visitors Contractors

School start times for different classes are staggered to reduce the numbers attending the site at the start and finish of the day. Pupils to receive their own stationary which they keep and use each day – school will provide this for pupils where necessary work packs available. Ref: see new COVID-19 timetable for school day. Parents are requested to drop their children off alone i.e. not both parents attending at once. Parents are requested not to gather at entrance gates or doors, or enter the site (unless they have a pre-arranged appointment) once their children have entered the school. Classes should be kept together thereby minimizing mixing with other classes as much as possible. Break times (including lunch) staggered for classes to minimize mixing and dilute numbers using common areas such as walkways and toilets. All pupils supervised walking to and from toilets to ensure 1 in and 1 out systems are being adhered to.
