Working on or by roads/traffic/car parks Make sure that the actors are aware of where the road is, although you won’t actually see the road in the opening.

Risk/Hazard Control/safety methodElectrical equipment Keep it a safe distance from everyone except from

the actors and the person filming, and from water so that the equipment is not managed.

Materials for use in scenery/props/costumes Make sure that the props and costumes don’t have anything sharp on them. And once the props have been used, they need to moved out of the way so that they are not a trip hazard.

Water The actors at one point will be sitting on the rim of a pond, and we will ensure that they don’t fall in by asking them to sit forward.

Audience space We’re not really planning on having an audience, other than the people who are not filming in the group. So we will make sure that they are at a safe distance when filming, and that they are out of shot.

Variation in levels We will make sure that the tripods holding the cam-era’s are balanced, so that the shots are steady and not shaky. And we will make sure that we are aware of any uneven ground, and inform the actors of any potential hazards.

Safety of actors/crew/public/audience etc From doing our location recces we know that it’s not an overly busy area, but we’re not filming anything dangerous in our opening so it won’t be a hazard to anyone walking past.

Working on or by water Because we are working quite close to a pond when we are filming, we will make sure that there is some-one in charge of the camera equipment at all times. And the actors are aware of where the water is.

Working on or by roads/traffic/car parks Make sure that the actors are aware of where the road is, although you won’t actually see the road in the opening.
